Great location

This family run hotel is a 19th century Ottoman style Turkish Mansion. It was opened in 1998 & has 19 guest rooms & 1 junior suite. My room was clean with good decor, it had air con & blinds, both were needed in the July heat.

The hotels reception is open 24 hours, the staff here were friendly & spoke english. There are safety boxes available there too. Postcards could be handed in at reception for postage, this was useful as I didn't see a post box in the city.

Unique Quality: Meals at the hotel are taken at Dilkes restaurant, which is situated on the top floor. I didn't have an evening meal there, just breakfast. This was the cold buffet style, it was a great start to the day there eating breakfast while looking out over the Marmara Sea & Bosphorus.

The hotel is situted on a quiet side street. There are plenty of restaurants & bars on the next street. It is a perfect location for the main Sultanahmet sights, the Blue Mosque & Haghia Sophia are about 5 minutes walk away.

The hotel has an excellent web site(see link). If you book your stay via it, you are eligible for discounts on the price & free transportation to & from Ataturk Airport.

Great value hotel

This hotel let me book in through the web without payment and arranged free airport transport both ways. I got an extra discount for cash payment.
The location was excellent and the room just like any standard hotel bedroom in much more expensive hotels. The stallite TV only had a couple of channels in each language but that's enough anyway. The rooms are lovely and the only thing is the small bath. I would have liked a long soak after trailing round all the sights.
The breakfast was lovely (apart from the coffee which is instant). They are extremely helpful but not at all pushy when it comes to tripas and restaurants.
As someone who is usually a 5 star hotel only person I was very surprised and will definitely look more into cheaper hotels in the future. I highly recommend this hotel.

Unique Quality: Quirky shaped bedrooms. Some have a distant view of the sea. There is a railway line nearby but you cannot here the trains with the window shut
