Cesme to Ephesos
by htamada
Is it possible to make a day-trip from Cesme to Ephesos? If so, are there any direct buses?

There is no direct bus to Ephesos from Cesme. You must go to Izmir bus terminal then change for onather bus to Kusadasi. Ephesus is somewhere between Selcuk and Kusadasi. You get out at the enterence of antic city on the way. Return by the same way. Or you rent a car in cesme. Cesme-Ephesus 150-200 kms. The road is in very good condition.

yes it is possible as Sirvictor sais.
Change bus in Izmir. No problems in getting between Cesme-Izmir Izmir--Selcuk as busses leaves more or less every half hour.
Hop off the bus at Selcuk bus station (main) and then take a dolmus who brings you all the way up to Efesus main entrance. Efesus - Selcuk is ca 4 km, most of the distance is from main road and up to Efesus.

Dear Ruffen, Our friend Htamada muss take the bus Kusadasi not Selcuk from Izmir. On the way some 7-8 kms is the Efes ruins. Htamada can get of at the enterence of the antic city.

When I was in Selcuk for 8 days it was only the dolmus from Selcuk to Kusadasi who went all the way up to Efesus entrance.
All other busses only stopped at the main road cross where the litle road goes up to Efesus.
You can take busses from Izmir who have their last stop Kusadasi (18 km from Selcuk) or to Selcuk.
Efesus is 4 km from Selcuk "down town". Not sure how many times I have drivven past there ;)
Travel Tips for Cesme
Spring
by Tdiver
Originally called Cyssus the name means spring and there are quite a few of them around.Although we only stayed an hour a couple of times in November it still didn't feel like my sort of town.Just sun bathing and partying isn't it,although at that time there was none of that going on.Lots of hotels cater for most things including water sports so enjoy.
