    It is not to easy to find a nice, cheap hotel/pension in Izmir. I stayed at Imperial hotel which is close to the train station and also Dokuz Eylül Meydan, where all buscompany offices are (and where the free service to and from the otogar stops). The area might not be the nicest, with a lot of men "hanging around), but the hotel is OK. It is clean enough.
    I had a TV in my room but did not know if I was daring to use it as the cable didn't look well (mended with tejp). I tried and the TV worked for a few minutes but then stopped.
    The fan in the roof was wobbeling like it was going to fall down any minute.
    I had my own bathroom.
    The room was 20 000 000 TL without breakfast.

    Anemon is situated in the center of Izmirm near the International Fair. It is a traditional decorated hotel with 98 rooms all with central heating, mini bar, TV, hair dryer and also non smoking floors.
    It has nice decorated lobby and restaurant with unigue samples of oriental decoration.

    Hilton is the tallest building in the historic city of Izmir. It is situated in the center of the town and 18 Kilometres from the airport. It is a five stars hotel with 381 rooms. The hotel offers a wide selection of business and leisure facilities and indoor swimming pool and fitness centre. A Ballroom and banquet room can house up to 1000 guests.

    Ege Palas is situated in Alsansak , one of the most nice suburbs of Izmir. A four stars hotel with very comfortable rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and with the very nice bar "Hasmet bar" with excellent view
