Please can anyone tell me how to get from marmaris to izmir the quickest.How long it will take and what the cost will be.Also if theres a bus and how often does it run.Need to visit hospital in izmir sometime in june.your gratefully agnes
Bus company "Varan" departs at 19:15 from Marmaris in autobus terminal, arrives İzmir after 4:30 or 5 hours. It is 285 kms. It costs 28.-TL
There are many bus companies to Izir. You can learn all the schedule in Marmaris. No need to worry.

Inside the Kemeralti bazaar is one of the most interesting structures of Izmir: Kizlaragasi Hani is an Ottoman caravanserai inside the Halim Aga Bazaar and was completed in 1745. This covered market sells hand-made products, carpets, leather and souvenirs. There are many entrances to the markets.. And it sure is the top most interesting bazaar in Izmir..
What is nice of the Bazaar for ladies is the Silver crafts..
Izmir is a big city. Well...you don't wanna spend all your vacation time in Izmir. So you can take the bus from Izmir and you have a lot of choices, like Kusadasi 1,5 hour. Beautiful small town with a lot of activities or Bodrum 4 ,5 hours by bus. But you can have a lot of fun there.
What else, Icmeler ,Cesme ;very close to Izmir good beaches.
Even if I never do this at shopping, I think that the turks do this without asking this. Actually I bought many nice things in very good prices, maybe because I m a greek:)) and also they gave some nice souvenirs as presents.
I can't name a favorite one for a couple of reasons: 1.they were all great 2.many were small establishments that I failed to get the name of. But one of my favorite things to eat was chicken doner, served on flat pita bread with yogurt sauce and vegetables. Remember, this is an Islamic country, so don't expect to see any pork on the menues.
