More about My Hotel
Otel Taskule in Yalikavak, 20...
by spencrland
Otel Taskule in Yalikavak, 20 minutes from Bodrum...Wonderful accomodations and the staff was warm, friendly and helpful. Right on the water. The prices are very resonable and it is within walking distance to the Charsha (center of town). They have a very unique opened air lounge that looks out onto the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.
Özgün Otel, Amasra
by MalenaN
Özgün Otel is just by a small beach at Köcuk Liman. Rooms with a view over the sea are bigger and more expensive than the one I got. I had a small singel room, but it was clean with bathroom and TV. Breakfast is served in front of the hotel, with seaview.
The hotel is on the left hand as you enter Amasra, just before where the dolmush from Bartin stops. It is a good location.
I paid 20 000 000 TL, with breakfast included.
Otel Cakir, Sivas
by MalenaN
I stayed at Otel Cakir on Kursunlu Caddesi. It is a quite large hotel with several floors. My room, on the third floor, had a big confortable bed, a bathroom and a TV with a few chanels.
There is no English spooken but the staff is kind and helpful.
The hotel is within walkingdistance from the centre, museum and the old Seljuk buildings. It is even within walkingdistance from the otogar (if you don't have any laguage). It is a walk of about 20 minutes.
Otel Pinar, Ankara
by MalenaN
Otel Pinar is just down the street from Kale, in the older part of Ankara, Ulus. They have rooms of different categories, with or without bath. I desided to pay more to get my own bathroom, a big bed and a TV. And I didn't regret it when I had two early evenings back to the hotel and could enjoy the Turkish musicvideos on KRAL.
No breakfast is served at the hotel, but there is a cafe opposite serving typical Turkish hotel breakfast.
I needed to do some washing and they asked the cleaning woman to take it home and wash it for me until the next day. And she did for 5 000 000 TL
I paid 25 000 000 TL for my room.
A room without bath and TV would have been 14 000 000 TL.
Arisan Otel, Silifke
by MalenaN
The hotel is close to the otogar (busstation) so it is very convenient if you are travelling by bus.
It is a welcomming place and one of the men in the staff is learning English.
I got a room with two beds, a TV, a fan, a bathroom and a balkony. There was a moscito net in the window and towels and toiletpaper is provided.
I paid 10 000 000 TL for one night.
Arasna Otel, Safranbolu
by MalenaN
I ended up at the hotel I had intended to avoid, because according to my guidebook there was livemusic several nights a week and it would probably keep one awake. And unfortunatly it did. Even though I was very tired I could not sleep until the music stopped at one o'clock in the night. By then I did not feel very happy! Well, it was probably very nice for the people enjoying themself in the restaurant.
As the bus stopped in Safranbolu I asked a policeman for another hotel, but it turned out it had closed down and he brought me to Arasna instead.
If you are in Safranbolu you should stay in one of the old ottoman wooden houses. Arasna is in one and has nice rooms. Before entering the first floor you have to remove your shose.
I got a room without bath, but was the only person using the bathroom in the corridor. The room was 15 000 000 TL
(or 20 000 000 TL with breakfast.
Stay in Koray Otel,...
by davinachu
Stay in Koray Otel, Pammukkale. it's nice, the people are helpful. They can organize tours to Pammukkale and Efes.
Imperial Hotel, Izmir
by MalenaN
It is not to easy to find a nice, cheap hotel/pension in Izmir. I stayed at Imperial hotel which is close to the train station and also Dokuz Eylül Meydan, where all buscompany offices are (and where the free service to and from the otogar stops). The area might not be the nicest, with a lot of men "hanging around), but the hotel is OK. It is clean enough.
I had a TV in my room but did not know if I was daring to use it as the cable didn't look well (mended with tejp). I tried and the TV worked for a few minutes but then stopped.
The fan in the roof was wobbeling like it was going to fall down any minute.
I had my own bathroom.
The room was 20 000 000 TL without breakfast.

We have just come back, last week after a weeks holiday there. My daughter has stayed there twice and recommended it. The service and hospitality of the staff is second to none--nothing ever too much trouble--look out for Boris, he was brilliant!. The hotel is clean , rooms basic, but ok. The Turkish breakfast was lovely, we carried ours out to sit by the pool. The pool was the only downside of the hotel--brilliant if you are a swimmer, but has no shallow end , so I wasnt able to go in, although there is a kiddies pool. All in all, it was a lovely week and I would certainly go back there. Hope you have a good time!
Ardanuj Hotel
by rjaparidze
Does anyone know if there are hotels in the city of Ardanuj (Eastern Turkey)? Do you have phones??
Is it possible to rent a minivan at local minivan / bus station to taking them to visit some of the churches in the surrounding areas? Any ideas how much will it cost?
RE: Ardanuj Hotel
by alpcor
There in no hotels at Ardanus. You can stay at Artvin city. http://www.icemtour.com/trk/oteli.asp?rezervasyonu=karahan_otel_artvin

Thank you for your message.
Actually there are hotels in Artanuj. Though they are not in a very good shape. We still stayed there as we had to travel in the surroundings of Artanuj and paid 10 mln per person. If someone is not really accustomed to sheratons and Marriots, he can easily get along there.
cheers,
r
