Can anyone provide the address of an art supply stores in Izmir, Turkey where I can purchase oil paints, thinner, canvas, etc. Thank you.
Try:
"Esen" (selling stationary staff) at the basement floor of Salepcioglu Shopping Center at Kemeralti, Konak.
There are two more at San Passage and 2. Beyler Passage (ask, anyone will show you)

Visit Kaddifekale ('The Velvet Castle'), built by Alexander the Great. It has a tremendous view of the city. Also, try to get to the fire tower above the Evka I neighborhood of the Buca district; it provides another great lookout point. Favorite restaurant: Sini Ocakbasi on Cevik Bir Meydani in Buca. Warm, wonderful people. I miss my friends and neighbors from Buca.
Since you have reached to Alsancak, dont leave here without having a look at the old nice houses of Alsancak on side streets..
They look so lovely..
If you follow this houses at the end of the street you will cometo the end of Alsancak District but many nice clubs are waking up in the middle of night..
Izmir has three main football clubs Goztepe and Karsiyaka are known to be the two rivals of the city and Altay is also a succesfull football team..
Izmir teams are not so succesfull in the Turkish league on the recent years. There is no team from Izmir in the first division..
However Fenerbahce, Istanbuls most favourite club, was in Izmir due to its fine and Ataturk stadium has shown its respect to Fenerbahce in Izmir also.. Thanks for all 70,000 supporters of Fenerbahce in and around Izmir..
There are daily trips from popular towns like Bodrum, Kusadasi. Accessing via Selcuk may be another way. After landing to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport or Bodrum Milas Airport(3 hours away from Ephesus) you may continue by bus to Ephesus.
Kusadasi and Izmir ports have international connections. A Classical Mediterranean cruise can not be thought without stop for Ephesus.
This big bazar is situated in a very old building. In the shops of this bazar you can find fascinating antiques, silver and gold accessories, handmade ceramics, carpets and other souvenirs. Really this is a bazar with an oriental atmosphere.
