I didn't stay there but it is a nice old building and rooms are nice too.

Sim-Er hotel: Kars's hotels

I stayed in this hotel. It was nice, claen hotel. Foods were good especially goose (kaz in Turkish)

But it is a bit far from center. So, Karabag hotel looked better to me but I didn't see inside. But if I go again I may stay.

Hotel Karabag: Good Hotel in Kars

The Hotel Karabag makes a nice base for touring the Kars region. It is clean and modern, and well-located in the center of Kars. Dinner is NOT included in price of room, however.

The best hotel in the city center.

The food is very delicious in its restaurant.

Simer Otel: Kars City Center's one of the acceptable Hotels

The people who serves you are local people and general mentality is not very improved in the meaning of customer satisfaction. They do not let you feel as a king in the hotel. The most important thing is, they do not have a spare key organisation. If you lose your keys, you are in a big trouble. Food quality is above avarage, but there are better choices in city center.

The hotel building was a dormitory before and the items in the rooms reflect this history too much. The colors, design etc may not be very attractive to everyone.

The good thing is, it is very close to city centre, at a walking distance, and there is no parking problem.

...I slept in Otel Temel: In kars...

I payed 20 millions TL (about 11 euros) for a single room, including a good breakfast. At the desk, nobody speaked English or any other language except Turkish. They didn't make any discount. There was not hot water all the time. The hotel was quiet.

The room had a bath and toilets, the bed was fine.
