Wandering around the town
by mel_bee
I would recommend you take the cruise trip, other than that visit the waterfall or just chill out along the lakeside. There is a small market in summer on the town square, also the streets off from the square are great for cheap restaurants. My best memory is sitting on a café along the waterfront watching the sun setting over the lake.
Crabs and turtles

After a long walk round town looking for the icecream shop we noticed lots of baby turtles and crabs in the streams along the sides of the streets. You can even spot huge turtles doing a spot of swimming in the lake!
Waterfall

Get the youth hostel to drop you off at the local waterfall, its a short walk through some great scenery and if you're very adventurous you can go on to other water areas as well. The water's a bit cold but its refreshing on a hot summer's day.
Swimming in the waterfall

I went down to the waterfall for only a couple of hours. There are no facilities whatsoever so you need to bring everything you need. The water was quite cold and deep nearer to the fall but great for swimming in as its freshwater. You can even hire bikes from the hostel to get here.
KOYCEGIZ
by mel_bee
I planned only to stay in Koycegiz overnight, but already during the first few hours I had made some good friends, the place was beautiful, very cheap and relaxing, so I decided to stay on. There's not much to do here but its a great place for a break in between hectic sightseeing and nightlife. The only place I ate myself full for 2.5 million!
