Art Bodrum Hotel
Adnan Menderes Cad. No:1, Bodrum, 48400, Turkey
What can I say, the hotel and staff was fantastic, all full of smiles and ready to make you stay at the Art Hotel fun. the hotel is clean, in fact they don't stop cleaning, the food is great.
and if you like to drink you get what you pay for, which is good value for money.
Yes they are steps, but well worth the wait the veiw is fantastic.
The food was great a diffrent choose everytime for meals,
If you fancy a wonder use the dolmus or get a donkey, lol them hills are steep but fun, if you have a young family use the bus it goes passed the hotel every 15 mins thoughout the day and up to 0200 hrs. Bitez, Gumbert and Bodrum are great, Bitez is more like a village holiday area, Bodrum and Gumbert are more like a small town.
Unique Quality: The great veiws.
How clean the rooms was, remember you are only sleeping there, but the house keeping cleaned every day, and changed the sheets once a week. ( fanstatic )
All the Staff including the Turkish bath staff, photo man, and all the other staff fantastic thank you for making our holiday.
More about Art Bodrum Hotel
Loved Art Bodrum Hotel
We have just got back from Turkey where we stayed at the Art Bodrum Hotel. We were at bit worried at first as most of the reviews we had read were terrible and we hadn't paid much for the holiday. But I'm gald we booked it as we had a fab time.
The hotel is situated on a hill but the whole area is hilly so there are very few hotels which aren't on hills. We walked into Gumbet a few times to check out the local shops and the beach, this took about 15 minutes. However there is a bus every couple of minutes and this costs roughly £1, if you don't fancy walking back up the hill. The hotel also provides a free bus service to and from the beach everyday with set times.
We stayed in a club room it was a bit small but was vey clean and tidy, the maid came everyday to clean the room and gave us fresh towels. We only stayed a week and the bedding was changed every other day. We had a patio area which was a good size and had a table and 2 chairs to sit on, the view from here was lovely.
There are 3 nice swimming pools and 3 childrens pools. These were kept clean and there was enough sunbeds for everyone. All have great views of Gumbet.
The food was lovely with lots of variety and everything was labelled so you knew what it was. There was something different everyday to choose from. The restaurant was big and very clean the staff were really friendly. The snack bar had a variety of snacks everyday from 3:30 till 5:00.
You could have as much as you wanted to drink from 10:00am to 11:00pm, this was all local drinks and there was beer, wines, vodka, gin and alll soft drinks and was all really nice.
The entertainment wasn't very good this could be improved but other than this we had a fab holiday and are thinking of going back next year.
Waste time and money
We have just got back from Turkey where we stayed at at the Art Hotel Bodrum. We were allocated a 'club' room which was very small and looked quite shabby. The entrance door had a large hole in it and no attempt had been made to repair this. We had no maid service for 3 days. The staff did not speak very much English and appeared to understand even less, which made any communictaion with them difficult. The hotel was popular with Russian and Germans with very few British staying there.
We spent 1 week there which felt like a lifetime. The food was pretty awful and the wine is the worst you will ever taste. We paid for an all inclusive deal but we ate out most of the time and bought wine from the local supermarket in Gumbet to drink at the hotel.
The entertainment was loud with same music cd's played again and again. There is absolutely nothing for children to do and we saw parents struggling to keep tearful bored youngsters occupied. We would strongly advise you not to go there.
oh my god my legs are aching
I have just come back after one week with my family, the journey there was a joke three hours from Bodrum coach driven by an incopetant driver who couldn't drive let alone know where he was going. we were not given any information on how long the jounrney was to last and not the taxi we were promised.
Hotel looked nice on arrival, but when we got to our room, t was tiny, no where to sit outside, no chairs even thoiugh we asked 4 times the receptioist kept saying"I'll send my friend", well no friend came. We ende up pinching 4 chairs from the terrace next door.
Food was very boring, no decent stuff for breakfast, ate there 1st night then went out to eat which was really nice. The entertainment was far too loud during the day with one CD being played all day.
Not suitable for children who dont speak German, turkish or Russian
This hotel is great value for money. The hotel was kept clean as were the rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful.Got this holiday on the internet and could not fault it.The food was average but plenty of it
terrible, what a rip off
We got moved 3 times, in the space of 2 days, rooms small, and need updating, the alcohol was so weak a bottle wouldn't of made you tipsy, food ok, but resturant to small, people were having to stand and eat there food, had to go out most tmes to eat, reception staff rude!!!! Don't go here it's a rip off

can any tell me if there is a bus that goes from bodrum to gerome in september times and prices also thanking you
in summer season, bus services running between bodrum and kayseri are passing from goreme. but i am not sure about september. the best thing is confirming services when you are in bodrum. there is no need for pre-booking so you may find seat easily. in the worst case, you may have make a transfer in konya or denizli.
As aerdemt said, in september you should ask to coach company for scheduled coach services. Sure you can find coach easily if you accept transfers in other cities.
