More about Club Izer Beach
I loved the Izer Beach Hotel
The hotel was absolutely brilliant!!! There is something to do for people of all ages. I visited the hotel with my family and my friend and we all had an amazing time there. The staff are lovely and there is a good variety of food to choose from. Apart from the choices of bars at the hotel there is also two fantastic swimming pools to cool down in. Only downfall of the holiday was only booking to go for the week...it went so quickly and i wish i was back there again. I would definetly recommend this hotel, we loved it so much that a group of us are planning to go back early next year!!!
i just got back from turkey i stayed in the club izer beach i cant knock the hotel or the staff i enjoyed my stay but the food was awful but apart from that i had a great time and reccomend it to anyone i would go back but i wouldnt stay in torba cause there was no nightlife outside of the hotel you either had to go to bodrum or gumbet
location- the location is fantastic, its only a 20-30 min transfer from bodrum airport- what you want really after a 4 hour flight and in the heat! izer beach is set in a bay in torba on the beach, gorgeous views!
the hotel- the hotel has two pools, on the beachfront with a pier. having two pools here is great because one is more for kids/entertainment as it is where most of the games take place and the water slides etc. the other pool is a bit more relaxed, perhaps for guests without children. the beach is small but a lot cooler than round the pool areas on a hot day with lovely breezes! there are a few bars to choose from, and a snack bar for inbetween meal times. the rooms are ok, plenty big enough for two people with a tv, fridge and balcony. there is also a roof bar above the restaurant which is very nice and you can look out over the bay at nice, there was live music too a few nights while i was there which was good.
food and drink- ok, well the food isnt fantastic but theres always something to eat, breakfast is mainly bread, cereal, eggs, omelettes, pastries. lunch and dinner are quite similar with salads, chips, pasta, bread all on offer everyday. turkey burgers, chicken, kebabs etc are all cooked freshly. at lunchtime there is also the option of the snackbar where you can get burgers, toasties and chips each day. for dinner you can opt for the italian, fish or kebab restaurants if you want a change from the buffet food, so you do have options if the main buffet food isnt your thing. in addition, the waiter service in the restaurant is great, the waiters are amazing and bring drinks, place settings and cutlery to the table, without even asking! also, dirty plates are cleared away from the table quite quickly which is good.
the bar areas are great too, i came to izer beach last year and the water was from a dispenser, this year it is bottled and kept in a fridge and its nice and cold for when you need to cool down! the bar areas do get quite busy but i never seemed to be waiting long. the barmen even remembered what i was drinking so i can only speak highly of them! especially when they work from 10am-2am somedays and still have a smile on their face!
entertainment- i never really go for the entertainment on holidays but i didnt hear any bad words about it while i was there, the entertainment team are always around and willing to include anyone in the games, again i cant fault this.
this is the third time i have been to this hotel and would recommend if you're the sort of person who doesnt look for little things to complain about, on the whole it is extremely friendly- which in my opinion is an absolute must so you feel welcome with the people there, in addition the hotel is clean-along with the pools and the sea. the restaurants are cleaned after each meal and the bar areas regularly wiped down. there are rarely any glasses/plates around as they are always cleared away so quickly! i think this hotel is a case of 'you get what you pay for', i have stayed in much more expensive all inclusive hotels which have been absolutely great, and some not-so-great cheapo all inclusive hotels, izer beach is very much an in the middle hotel, and does exactly what it says in the brochure, there is no point going expecting absolute luxury, but it is definately somewhere i would recommend in the future. the staff in this hotel are amazing, and always have so much time for you, they really make a great holiday. thank you izer beach, i definately will be returning guys!
Just back from the Izer beach after spending two weeks with my family (2 adults &2 children 9, 10) flew with First Choice no delays all to plan.
Hotel- Very well placed right on the beach with lovely views of the bay, the beach is not much of a beach really and the shallow part of the sea is quite rocky but there is a jetty for sunbathing and access to the sea, water sport can also be found here, 1 peddleo and 2 canoes! For use on the A/I the rest is extra. Nice walk to the left of the hotel right around the bay past some far better hotels, Izer Beach is rated as no 4 of 7 in Torba and I think this about right jugging on what we saw on our walk.
Rooms- we had a superior room but not quite sure why they call them that really as we could not find any thing superior about it, beds very hard and one of the pull down settee type for the kids, but we had a fridge so my be that was it!!! We had room 303 in the middle part of the complex which had a garden view, at first we were disappointed with that but after a few days and looking round at the other rooms we did ok, but we must have been near the laundry room as we got woke up quite early with the trolleys being pushed past our door, so if you like to party and want a lay in then avoid this room.
Entertainment Team- They do try really hard to make your stay a enjoyable one with the pool games and the night shows they put on and I do need to thank Jimmy but I will come to that latter on. Donti hope that’s how you spell it mate, for me and my family you were the best and I hope you are ok in the army at the end of the year and good luck to you and your fiancé for the future, any way back to the review, some of the acts are very good with the audience participation but others are not so good and some nights people would just walk out and near the end of the show there would be a hand full of people left, we felt quite sorry for them some times as it must be a hard job trying to please all the different nationalities.
Food And Drinks- Right here goes, the food was awful very very poor different shapes of meatballs day after day with only perhaps 2 or 3 other hot/warm/cold dishes to choose from, kids selection was a joke chips, spaghetti, spicy sausage or square chicken nuggets things I think and that was it day after day but most adults found them selves filling up on the kids stuff it was that poor, we stayed away from the buffet as much as possible and ate around the top pool where the food was limited in choice but was a least edible, here you could order cheese toasty, chips, burgers, spaghetti, and hot dogs. This pool side bar turned into the Italian at night and was a lot better then the buffet!!!! Set menu be there for 7.30 and get better food and a really great waiter who really looked after us for our stay as we went 4 times, thanks for that cant remember you name sorry.
Drinks are ok no complaints here apart from where you could get one from at night, the entertainment was right at the top of the hotel grounds in the amphitheatre and the only bar serving drinks was at the other of the hotel near the beach and bottom pool, so there was a consent trek to get drinks if you wanted to watch the shows, we thought this a penny pinching exercise by the hotel and one little thing that needs to be looked at by the hotel if they want to improve on the 3+ rating.
Pools- Bottom pools very nice with small water slides for the really little ones,
Top pool be very careful here the flooring around the pool is of a marble type and slippery when dry but during the day when water was splashed up onto and made puddles it was like ice as I found out to my cost and so did a lot of other people, I got up of my sun bed being careful as you learn to be with your footing to get in the pool the next thing I knew I was on my back in a pool of water and what seemed to be a dozen people around me (Mo, Rory, Jimmy, Joseph thanks guys) with towels under my head which was bleeding quite badly, so that was it me off to hospital for 30 stitches luckily it was our last day!!! So as I say if you are going be very careful around that pool as some one is going too get very seriously hurt and I cant understand why the hotel or First Choice don’t do something about it as we were told by a waiter that it happens all the time and the day before a boy needed an ice pack on his head after a slip!!!!
If any one has a the same experience and wants to put it right and make it a safer place for the kids then e-mail me as I am putting a case together at the moment.
Summary- nice place, great staff, awful food, dangerous pool, this place could easily get a better than 3+ if the hotel looked at the main bad points (food, bar location and other bars restaurants not open until mid June)and stopped penny pinching Izer Beach Hotel.
Would we go back? er NO!!!
nice clean hotel.
arrived home a week ago with different thoughts on this hotel.
The pools are great and lovely and clean , there is a smaller pool ideal for the little ones with a little snake slide then a slightly larger one for the laze about times. also next to these slides is a pool side bar where you can get drinks and there is a lady making bread for you to snack on.
at the other side of the complex is the big pool with the water slides and this is where the activities go on during the day , also there is a snack bar here where you can get burgers, chips, toasties, pasta, and drinks. BEWARE as other's have mentioned the marble floor's round this pool are lethal , and need to be looked into.
The bar situation also needs to be looked into as one small bar round the pool side for evening times is'nt enough when there is no means of getting a drink at the entertainment , so you have to walk back to the other side of the complex . there is a roof top bar but there is no life up there but for a quiet drink and a look out across the bay it's ideal.
The second week we were there was the start of the turkish holidays things then changed.
You were just ignored by the bar staff and not served, the turks were coming up behind and ordering drinks above our heads , it was a complete nightmare. i did report it to the head bar manager and for the rest of that night things were ok but it did'nt last long so we gave up in the end, it was easier to purchase cans from the shop and drink on your balcony .
If you want to have a night out i suggest you catch a bus to bodrum then another and go into gumbet we had a lovely meal , a family of 5 we all had starters a main meal each , 2 lg beers, 4 lg shandy's 2 bottles of water and it cost under £50 , try getting all that in uk for 50 nikker, best meal in the 2wks we were there.
i dont normally complain about the food cos you have to accept you are in a foreign country , but the food was awfull , and having been to turkey before i found very little to be of turkish culture.
All in all the hotel was lovely and clean , it was perfect location to get out and about via bus. oh before i forget go round the bay and book a boat trip with captain oakie dokie fab day out.
Would i go back to izer beach, as always the answer is no the world is a far too bigger place to go back to the same place twice no matter how good it is.
we booked through first choice 4 adults two children 4 and 5, firstly the rep from first choice sarah was the best rep we have ever had travelling around the world nothing was too much trouble and very informative, the hotel manager and staff were friendly and again nothing was too much trouble, even the staff in the fitness centre all the adults had a turkish massage and it was the best weve ever had thouroughly recommend it, the photos in the brochure do not do this hotel justice, the wter sports were good even nannie had a go at jetskiing and loved it,there are two parts to the hotel the original and the annexe side but you can go were ever you want, and nothing is too much trouble even down to one of the children wanted an apple with their breakfast we asked if we could buy one and two appeared within seconds free, and every morning they asked her if she required an apple with her breakfast, in the evening we also visited the pitstop take away and small bar just along the road and ended up eating and drinking their the food was good cheap and you were made to feel welcome,we wanted to go back this year but it is fully booked not suprising,we should have booked earlier so were going to alanya instead, just a word of warning when you go to the market be carefull of the old women with bracelets turkish eyes etc shell put them on the children when you say thankyou she says you buy .how can you say no when the children have them on their wrists bit naughty we thought so just be careful lovely place to eat is the resturant down by the marina in bodrum on the corner and also just up the road from the bustation down an alley is a court yard with parasols and lovely food, dont go to kos for the day though we did liked it but had to wait around for the ferry for about another 3 hours as we had seen everything but okwe only had one hic up when cigarettes went missing from our room, but it was delt with straight away and the male cleaner sacked,,it didnt put us off,we found the germans didnt have any manners but never mind when they pushed infront of the buggy they got sore ankles and soon learnt, anyway go there and enjoy it youll love the relaxed atmoshere and have a lovely time if you dont then nothing will please you,
Poor in Quality!!!!!!
We stayed there for 2 days.We had a terrible final. Our money was stolen from our room and the hotel said us that we didn't rent a safe so the responsibility is ours.We didn't have any jewel so we didn't think that it was neccessary.
We called for gendarme and they took a report.
It will be result in court of justice.
enjoyed very much
Hello everyone! just wanted to share my two cents on this hotel
Stayed for 10 days, two years ago with our two small children. Our stay was very enjoyable, staff was super-extra friendly, food was good, beach the best (for families w/small children).
We were lucky to get a room in a complex near the beach, complete privacy, enjoyed peace and quiet compared to the upper complex where music was very loud and mourmor of people was constant.
I defenitely recommend this hotel, but if you like the peace and quiet, ask for the lower complex room. enjoy!
Good Value for money
I did have reservations about this hotel, but the travel agent recommended it as her friend had been there.
We all really enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time, we hardly left the hotel, our daughter made friends and enjoyed the kids club, mini disco and the pools.
The animation team work hard and produce great nite time shows. Daytime activities are good fun, if you want a quiet life, then just go to the quiet pool by the beach. Aqua Gym is a must for the ladies, Olq is a great teacher of this.
Food is ok, but does get a bit boring into the second week, the waiters are great and friendly.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are cleaned everday by hardworking housekeeping.
Just beware of the activity pool as the floor is extremely slippery
Quiet resort yet close to Bodrum
Nice hotel, staff friendly but not in your face. Whole complex is pretty and kept spotlessly clean. Food was only ok. Turkish food was the best of all, and that at the Italian Restaurant (which is the snack bar in the day). Alcohol seems to have bypassed the alcoholic drinks with the exception of the wine, raki and lager. It’s unbelievably weak. They did charge us for drinks later on at night. Stayed in a Club room which was large enough but balcony is very small. Had a fridge, hairdryer, tv and aircon. Nice bathroom with good shower and always hot water. Two pool areas and narrow beach with a jetty (which was lovely to sit on at night). There was indoor pool but this seemed to be closed. No-one was in the disco when we went, but next door hotel seemed to be extra lively in the evenings. Our transfer was not included so got Bodrum Airport Taxi from airport. Warning: They won’t accept return trips, however Torba Taxi’s only 5 mins away. Sadly there were several families with small children who seemed happy to let them run around with no clothes on and use the pool as a bathroom in view of everyone. Not the hotel’s fault, but this was awful! The hotel has it’s own small shops, internet café, barbers, small gym, sauna and Turkish bath & spa, which are highly recommended. There’s a farm behind and people were complaining about a dog barking constantly very early in the morning. Take some ear plugs! Dolmus arrives every 30 mins just outside the hotel to take you to Bodrum. Short journey and you can then connect to lots of other places should you wish to explore. Lots of water sports if the fancy takes you but it’s a quiet bay if you prefer peace and quiet too, with nothing except a few small restaurants nearby. Bodrum market is worth a trip (on once per week for clothing etc.) and some stalls call in to the hotel that same night to catch the last bit of trade.

Car Hire -v- Taxi
5 travellers coming to Bitez on 17th October. Looked at websites for car hire and found the excess of £400 a little expensive as it is deducted at time of booking, with the refund at the end of a holiday. Sorry but the interest is better in my account, given the high prices being quoted for the actual hire on-line.
We're landing at 02:55, so my question is, would be be better to hire a taxi/minibus to/from the airport and then hire a car for the day, on days we know we want to go exploring, rather than renting for the week?
Hope some of you seasoned travellers will be able to help us.
RE: Car Hire -v- Taxi
Havas is the shuttle company and they should have a bus service to Bodrum town center..
Airport is 20km away from Bodrum town center..taxi can be around 40-50€
take a bus shuttle by Havas and than from Bodrum town center to Bitez ; only 4 -5 km..
Actually car rental in October can be max 50€ to 90€ for a FIAT-Ford type of car..
Avis, Hertz kind of rentals are avaliable..
RE: Car Hire -v- Taxi
Bodrum/Milas airport is 40 km far to bodrum and if you are 5 persons you can take a taxi to bitez and I agree with your comments to hire a taxi daily instead of weekly .The daily rate should be around 50-100 ytl according to the car that you choose .
