by behzad88

Hi every one I am a travel writer and i have to be in Bodrum more than 22 days
anyway I need a cheap hostel [9$-10$]for myself without any breakfast or pool or anything else just something near to bodrum it would be better and i have to keep traveling to Greece and Bulgaria for more 60 days ,
[if you have anyother ideas I would be happy to hear that]
thank you for helping me [i can pay 11$ also]

Do you mean US dollars or euro?

If you mean USD, then I think you will find it very difficult indeed. It is high season at the moment.

If you mean euro (although you will pay in Turkish lira) then have a lookat www.hostelworld.com and www.hostelbookers.com There are beds in Bodrum from 9/10 euro per night.

Travel Tips for Bodrum

One day in Bodrum

by nihandenis

Hi if you are going to stay only one day in Bodrum , I would suggest you to visit the castle first. And afterwards you can wander down to the harbour see the stunning gulets (traditional Turkish wooden boats).You can also walk to the bar street where you can find small shops & bars.On this way have a cup of coffee at Mado where you have nice Castle view. There is nothing to do in Bodrum in winter time so I would suggest you to hire a car & visit the villages bays of Bodrum. You can make a peninsula tour starting from Gumbet, Bitez, Ortakent, Yahsi, Camel Beach, Akyarlar, Turgutreis, Gumusluk, Yalikavak, Turkbuku , Torba & back to Bodrum.

Giving Tips

by Lyndra

Many turkish bar staff earn minimal wage which can be very low indeed - for this they are expected to work punishing hours and still be nice to us the tourist. The tips we give them are so important in adding money to their small pay packets. Unfortunately the English have a reputation for being a bit stingy with the money! Round up the drinks order and let them keep what is actually a really smal sum to us but they are so grateful for these kindnesses.

Supermarkets in Bodrum

by Lyndra about Take your pick!

For anyone who is self catering in Bodrm you wil need access to cheap good quality foods, cleaning products and other necessary summer equipment such as sunscreen.
Bodrum has 4 major supermarkets and many smaller shops in the town. The best prices are to be found at the larger markets:
* Migros (0252 316 0983
* Gima
* Kipa (owned by Tesco)
* Tansas (0252 313 49 20)
* Kos Tas (like B&Q)
* Metro (like Makro)

Bodrum Airport

by Fen

Bodrum airport is a relatively new one and the facilities are excellent. A spacious international terminal with a few Cafes and Bars. There is also a shop open 24hrs which is very handy for buying phone cards, especially when your mobile phone network doesn't work straight away.

This place!!! Heaven is here on earth!!!

by sigourney about Karadeniz

This had to be my biggest failing! i really and truley could'nt pass this place without buying something, in the morning, the bread was oven fresh and the rolls and buiscuits looked far too appeitizing after the hotel brekkie!
But come mid morning when the fresh fruity cakes came out, i had to succumb, and did, often.and when our friends came over from Kos for the day, i had to take my mate debbie there, and she was glad of the experience!!!!
Everything is so very very cheap, and more importantly everyhing is so very very fresh ad very very YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Banana caramel, rasberry pot
