Loved La Blanche

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week at La Blanche and I can reccommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is definately the best in Turgutreis.
Food - The food is good although in the buffet restaurant is a bit repetative, the 3 a la carte restaurants are very nice - Only go to the Mediterranean restaurant if you like fish as this is the only option. All of the a la carte restaurants are a set menu of approx 5 courses which were a good mix of tastes and flavours. You have to book the a la carte restaurants the morning before you want to use them but we had no problems getting a place at them. The breakfast wasn't fantastic so we walked to Cool Breeze for an excellent english breakfast a couple of times which was a nice change.
Weather - The weather was fantastic, blue skies and bright sunshine every day. I would reccommend sunbathing on the middle jetty over the sea as there was a nice breeze all day and it isn't crouded.
Resort - The resort centre is approx a 10minute walk from La Blanche but this is a nice walk along the sea front. The guys from bars and restaurants try to drag you in but this isn't as forceful as a lot of resorts I have been to, Turkish people are very friendly. The boat trips are good day out and only cost £15 each including lunch although ask what music they play as ours was all Turkish and the other boats were playing english music.
Entertainment - As there are many different nationalities the entertainers work very hard to entertain a variety of different people, usually the entertainment in hotel complexes is pretty poor but the shows they put on were very amusing. There are also programmes through the day but we didn't get involved in them.
Overall this was a very enjoyable holiday and I would reccommend for groups, families and couples.
La Blanche - full marks for top standard hotel.

I have just returned from a week at La Blanche and at last have found the perfect hotel! I have stayed in lots of 4 - 5 star hotels all over the world and have to say that this hotel rates above all of them.
Where to start ? ....
Service from staff - friendly, efficient, helpful, polite, especially in the restaurant and bar where it was quick and "service with a smile". Tables were cleared away at top speed (although not too quick that plates are whisked away before you have finished eating, which has happened in other hotels). Staff at the reception desk were helpful and friendly. We needed to change rooms when we arrived; the staff couldn't have been more helpful - they took our cases from the original room to the new room, and while we waited sat us down with a drink at the bar, with a very kind and helpful member of staff who chatted with us.
Cleanliness - faultless; excellent. Everywhere, from the rooms to the corridors, and pool areas were absolutely spotless.
The hotel has a very relaxed and easy-going atmosphere; there are plenty of places to sit and/or sun bathe - lots of sunbeds, and also large leather "bean bag" type cushions to relax on (quite difficult to get out of as you just sink into them).
The food could not be faulted - what a variety to choose from! And it was always fresh and well presented. We did not see one fly hovering over any of the food the whole week we were there, even at lunchtimes when we sat outside to eat. In fact, despite the heat, we did not see one insect, mozzie, or fly anywhere in the hotel complex.
I could go on and on raving about the La Blanche, but believe me, every aspect of this hotel was perfect.
We went to the Saturday market at Turgutreis, bought lots of items at bargain prices [remember to barter as you can really knock down the prices]. We bought some beautiful embroidered tablecloths at around £2 and some "genuine fake" designer T-shirts at around the same price - good quality too.
I would recommend the day trip by boat to Kos. Well organised and you have about 4 to 5 hours to wander around Kos.
The area of Turgutreis is obviously developing and at present retains it rural charm, which adds to the relaxed, comfortable feel of the place.
I think Turgutreis appeals more to families or older people; not for young people looking for nightclubs, etc. But if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday then look no further than La Blanche.
Excellent food
by Jeannie106 about The Well, Turgutreis, nr Bodrum
The Well is a new restaurant (2006) situated at the northern end of he beach before the new La Blanche hotel. It is in a walled garden overlooking the sea.
The owners are friendly and polite and there is excellent service.
The music is low and peaceful.
The kitchen is spotlessly clean and you are invited to inspect it.
Food is reasonable price £6 for Sea Bass which was cooked and filetted for me.
All in all 9/10 and well worth the 6 minute stroll along the front away from town. Sea Bass, fresh, cooked on BBQ.
Absolutely Fantastic!

My fiance and I stayed at La Blanche in the middle of May and completely fell in love with the resort. I love Turkey as it is but this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in whilst in Turkey.
We had requested a double room with sea view, but got a twin room and some houses as view, we spoke to reception about this and they were excellent with helping us change rooms, we ended up with a spacious family room on the pool.
We had nothing to complain about, the food was lovely, the service was excellent (very attentive) and the cleaniess was top notch, spotless!
The resort is also only about 10 min walk into Turgutreis town.
Overall we had a fantastic time and we would recommend this resort to anybody.
lovely

I went with my husband & 4 friends for a week to la blanche. The hotel was wonderfuly clean & bright. The pool & beach area was lovely with lots of sunbeds available what ever time of day you decided to venture out. The food was not all it good have been but we did'nt starve, we went into the town & tried a couple of the restaurants, cool breeze & nutters (both along the front) were both excellent, with very friendly staff. Some of the bar staff in the hotel needed to step up a gear, we were kept waiting rather alot.
The trip on the ghost boat is a must if you want a fun day out, for £15 each (lunch included, which was delicious) it was a great day out, Titch & Errol are just two of the guys who made it really fun, we had several stops visiting some interesting places, where you could swim or just relax. Will hopefuly go back some time in the future,
Good holiday, but could have be better

Stayed at the Hotel between the 15th - 22nd, one week before the season in Turgutreis finishes, so it was't busy. Overall had a good stay at the hotel, but below are some points about the hotel.
Location
The location of the resort is excellent as its not in the middle of Turgutries and therefore being about 10 - 15 minutes walk, along the sea. I can imagine the village of Turgutries getting busy during the peak season and therefore you can be away from all that. Its probably the best hotel within that proximatey.
Rooms
Cannot fault the rooms as they were spacious and well layed out, and cleaned on a daily basis. The room have a fridge which was stocked daily with a bottle of water, coke and fanta. There does seem to be a few rooms that were not facing the pool or the sea, so just be aware.
Resort
I found the place to be clean, and cleaned on a regular basis, but this may be different during the busy months. The pool was excellent, and beach was great aswell, so you wont be disappointed on either of these, they have enclosed the beach in its own harbour, so you do get a calmer sea.
Spa area was good, as you can make use of some of the spa facilities for free.
Food \ Drink
No problems with the Drinks, but the food lets the hotel down. Im not suggesting the food is rubbish, as there is always something to eat whether its at the snack bar by the pool or the main resturant, and the food is always hot and replenished quickly, but there is nothing there that gives the food the wow factor or memorable, I think One week of the food would be enough. Also we went to the Chinese All-a-cart one of the day, I wouldn't bother as the only thing they seem to know about is soya sause.
Overall a good stay and I would recommend the hotel. If you are new to all inclusive then you will enjoy your stay. If you have stayed at really big all inclusive resorts such as in the carribean or in the Antalya area of Turkey then this place doesn't quite hit the mark.
Also there is a mixture of nationalities at the hotel, which means its down to the individuals with how you want to get on with other people, but we found everyone to be pleasent and friendly, but if you are not willing to be that way then you will probably get the same attitute back
Fantastic Hotel
by TripAdvisor Member eflatmatt
We stayed for a week at the end of September. The first impressions of the hotel were excellent. We were given the family rooms which were very spacious. The rooms were cleaned every day to a good standard. Right from the moment of our arrival we were made welcome. I cannot think of any occasion when a member of staff was anything less than welcoming, from the cleaners to the management.
The animation team were great, too. Apart from the actual entertainments, they would just come over and chat and be friendly. Notable for this were Alex and Olga. Other members of hotel staff worthy of mention were Ahmed from the Turkish restaurant who couldn't do enough for me and my son when we ate there, Jake at the beach bar, who ensured that I never got thirsty, and also Ibrahim from the pool bar.
The food, in my opinion was really good. Plenty to choose from, and always seemed to be fresh and plentiful.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if we go there again soon.
Don't miss this Hotel

I thoroughly recommend this Hotel. Location is great right on the Beach. Rooms and large and there is even a small Aqua Park for children. All inclusive Hotel - the best I have stayed at. Choice of Food and Drink excellent. The staff were so friendly and really made our holiday. You must experience a Tradiitional Turkish and a trip to Bodrum via the local bus. A great holiday for couples and families.
Faultless holiday, cant speak highly enough.
by TripAdvisor Member popdog28
I cant speak highly enough of this hotel, its how a 5 star all inclusive should be. I booked with regal holidays (also highly recommended) and transferred from Dalaman (not the ideal way but it wasn't too bad). On arrival at the hotel, 9.30pm, our bags were rushed to our room by the porter so we could get dinner which was closing. We were allocated a family room which was a excellent size despite only paying for a normal room. Rooms are new and kept clean, and the free minibar is topped up daily.
Food: Plenty of choice, and the buffet restaurant has excellent views of the aegean. We liked to sit outside on the terrace area, and managed this every single night. We tried the chinese restautant which was also good. Food is prenty much all day, and not restricted like other hotels. The snack bar serves from 10am-5pm, and serves fresh pasta/salad/pizza/burgers etc.
Bars: Again I cannot fault them. A lovely terrace overlooking the sea has comfy sofas with candlelight. The lobby bar is 24 hour, and I think 1 minute was the longest I waited all holiday to get served. Cocktails are also free, and have to be tried. There are 2 others bars, 1 showing sports, and all are excellent.
Entertainment: Again, another good point from my perspective is the evening shows are seperatate from the bars, so if its not your thing your not forced to listen or watch. The entertainment team were friendly but we didnt bother with any shows.
Staff: All friendly and helpful. I asked 1 waiter where Kos was, and he apologized and said he didnt know as he was knew. 3 days later he returned and told me exactly where it was. This kind of effort is typical of the staff as a whole. I had no return transfer details, and the staff found out and slipped the details under my door. I stupidly locked the safe without a code, so the manager came to me (despite being off duty) and helped. I cannot recomment them enough.
Hotel: Its big, clean and new. The pool is massive and the general upkeep is immaculate. Staff are constantly clearing up and keeping the place tidy. There are loads of loungers and bean bags, some in shade, some by pool, and some on the sun deck leading into the sea. The hotel is in a perfect spot, quiet enough to enjoy yourself, but 10 mins walk from Turgetreies and 30 mins from Bodrum. They run free buses to and from Bodrum, the latest returns at 3am.
Bad points: Minor gripe it when your relaxing, sometimes the spa staff keep coming round trying to get you to book an appointment. And the photographers can be persistant, but this happens in all Turkish hotels and its nothing really to worry about.
Guest nationalities are Brits, Germans, Russians, Turks, Dutch, Italians, so this gives a broad spectrum which I think is a nice mix. Food caters for all, and if you like chips everyday they are there.
Basically my main gripe is I desperately wanted a 2nd week. It was a real effort tearing myself away. There are no wristbands and everyone is AI which makes life simple. It is certainly the best AI I have been to, and one of the best hotels. I personally think its better than the Aegean dream next door (and speaking to guests from there it seems a fair assumption). I cant wait to go back and may do so this year. If you want to go to Turkey then this is the perfect hotel for you.
Loved it

One word for the Hotel the holiday and the weather, Fantastic. Stayed for two weeks at the resort and loved every minute of it. there is lots do ranging from things to do inside the hotel complex or outside. We didnt see a cloud for two weeks and it seemed to get hotter and hotter everyday. The hotel was very clean, me and my other half were gobsmacked at how freindly the staff are, and how they knew which drink we were going to have before we ordered. There is plenty of stuff to do, from the little ones to the big ones. The food was good in the restaurant, it can get to you abit after a while (but if you want KFC, McD's and other english food go to Magaluf or Benidorm), what we dont relise is that their not english and its not english food, but i would recommend taking a couple of nights out to walk down the sea front to experience the food at a place called Nutters Bar, we had a BBQ here and had our last meal here, another bar and restaurant called Cool breeze alos does the most amazing English breakfast, propper sausage and wait for it even Heinze Baked beans from WIgan.
The entertainment team are very talented and put on a show every night. All in all this Holiday was fantastic and i would recommend it to anybody. You will make lots of freinds here not just english, the staff are very freindly especially the guys who run the boat trip, Murat was always a freindly face to see in the morning as they all just want to talk to you. They also run a bar in the town called Brothers bar which i would say is a good night, my Blackpool shirt is currently hanging in that bar.
GREAT HOLIDAY, GREAT HOTEL, GREAT PEOPLE

1- La Blanche Resort & Spa - No. 1 out of 38 hotels in Turgutreis
2-Aegean Dream Resort Hotel - No. 2 out of 38 hotels in Turgutreis
3-Ersan Resort & Spa - No. 27 out of 163 hotels in Bodrum
I booked some friends at Aegean Dream Resort and they are happy, not at the very centre of Bodrum but transport is available. In fact, all your 3 choices are good, there are a lot of other good and clean hotels in Bodrum, Marmara is one, and Kempinski too. You won't go wrong if you choose any of the first 2.
Have fun!
