Re: Children's activities

Bodrum is quite limited for very young children so an all inclusive hotel that had a children's club may be very useful. There are aquaparks in easy reach of the town. Restaurants are very child friendly however, as is most of Turkey so there will be plenty of suggestions no doubt from those who live there all year round.

just some good pieces of advice:)

whatever amount sum of money you take you'll have been broken when you get home;) you don't need to take the whole wardrobe there!
just some sexy swim suits,a little bit of stylish clothes for the evening better have some reserves of you own "drug store", if you don't want to pay fortune for doctor's visit. Especially be careful with what you eat in a hotel, otherwise some unpleasant problems with your stomach may arise camera, camera, camera to take lots of, lots of, lots of of pictures "ambre solaire"!!!!!!!!! It's the 1st thing you'll need on the beach, otherwise your skin will have been nothing but odds and ends by the evening:)
I took a book there but I didn't read a single page there:)

Outdoor club in Bodrum center

by Alikatt about Hadi Gari

I was told when I went to Bodrum last July/Aug. 2003 that there was shooting incident in Halikarnass. People in Turkbuku, where I stayed, strongly recommended against going there. I was told to check out Hadi Gari instead which is on the opposite side near M & M - the floating 2,000-capacity Bodrum boat. Hadi gari means "let's go"
I don't know if the gun-toting/shooting story is really true but Halikarnass was not crowded that weekend I was there - at least as I saw it from a distance. Hadi Gari was fun and the music was good - a mixture of 80's revival and Euro club hits but the crowd's very different from the Ship Ahoy for sure. cool beach chic, hip, show your tan but not overly revealing...

From Bodrum otogar to Izmir

by MalenaN

The otogar in Bodrum is in the city. To come there from the harbour you walk 400 m – 500 m up along Cevat Sakir Caddesi. At the otogar there are many bus-company offices and you can without hassle visit several to compare prices and timetable.

I can’t remember which company I bought the ticket from, but to Izmir from Bodrum it was 16 000 000 TL and it took
3,5 hours. The company had free service from Izmir otogar to different places around the city.

Glimmering Sea and Delicious Seafood.

by erendilight about Nazmi'nin Yeri ( Nazmi's)

A sunken city and harbour from ancient times, coupled with a fishing village, interesting walk across the sunken city wall to Rabbit island provides a superb back drop for the restaurants that line the harbour. A true delight is watching the sun slowly sinking into the Aegean sea on a warm summers evening. And then what shall we eat in Gumusluk, hummm, let's go to Nazmi's and have great seafood... Grilled Fish.......... and Roka salad... a big porsion...
