Hotel Simba/Gumbet
Hotel Simba is located at the top of a small incline and has a lot of stairs so is not suitable if you can't get around. The rooms are basic but adequate but the air con IS payable locally.
We paid about £40 for 2 weeks. It is worth it, especially with kids as the heat at night can be unbearable. There are 2 pools, 1 with a small kids pool on the main level.
We stayed B&B but ate quite a lot in the hotel as the food was of a good standard and our son ate free every night. There is an abundance of places along the seafront to eat at any time if you feel like going out.
The entertainment was varied, Kids Discos, Belly ancers, circus acts, synchronised swimmers! The bar and restuarant staff were very helpful and friendly.
a Dolmus stops regularly outside the hotel which takes you to the town centre and on into Bodrum.
