Sunlife Apart Hotel: The best host in Dalyan.

Sunlife Apart Hotel is a small 6-apartment villa with a swimming pool located a little away from the center and river of Dalyan but just 7- minute walk away.

I flew in from Istanbul to Dalaman airport. I arrived at night and was welcomed by Kaya, the guy who manages the place. The apartment he gave me was on the ground level with a door opening up to the pool. Never used it though as the weather is starting to get cold.

It’s along a main road within some quiet neighborhood.

It’s a villa with a swimming pool, a bar, and some tables and chairs beside it. It’s a small place with a homey feel to it.

The Room – it’s an apartment with a separate sleeping room. There's a kitchen and lounging area with sofa and dining table. It’s spacious and you can really cook comfortably as the kitchen have 2-burner stove, electric kettle, pots and pans and several big and small plates, and all the utensils.

The Bathroom – Small but clean and functional, hot water, curtain shower, towels.

The Breakfast – nice breakfast served at the tables beside the pool, Turkish breakfast with varieties on some days.

Wifi Internet – is working inside the apartment and strong.

Staff – this is the draw to this place. Kaya and his mom will take care of you. Kaya is Dalyan’s (or Turkey for that matter) ambassador of goodwill. He treat guests very well, I’d bet all his guests immediately clicked with him, he’s such a genuinely nice and a friendly bloke. He truly cares for his guests enjoyment and safety. Right before I went out on my first day, he gave me a long orientation – where to go, how to go there, tips on how to do things, and how to get the most out of my short stay. He gave cost-saving tips and tons of information that I deemed is more than I’ve paid for. His mom is an excellent cook, the fish dinner was sumptuous, and even though she doesn’t speak English much, she’s trying her best to communicate and chat during the evenings.

The place is not one of those hotels in the town where they herd you and sell you tours – this is a home, you’ll feel it and enjoy freedom, rest and real vacation, like you own the place.

And yes, it was a pleasure meeting the charming swiss lady neighbor named Rita who never runs out of travel stories to tell during the late nights. I almost forgot –the lovable huggable Markiz, the friendly dog mascot of the place.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer but I’ve a booking at another place that I can’t cancel. Can’t wait til next year though.

Unique Quality: Very friendly and helpful host.

Riverside Hotel: Small friendly family run hotel

The hotel is 10 min walk from the town. Family run friendly staff. Food was good. We had free wifi Internet access. No mosquitos in the room, we slept very good. Nice swimming pool. We recommend this hotel. I read good reviews at tripadviser before I choose this place.

Unique Quality: The cabana by the river was beautiful. We even took siesta there.

SIRIUS HOTEL: DALYAN'S LITTLE SECRET

Dalyan Sirius Hotel is a warm friendly and informal oasis.
Situated on the beautiful picturesque river, this delightful small block of single storey B&B apartments is a real gem. A truly family run Turkish delight. The two brothers Kadir and Tanner are gentle giants, who are obliging in every way; the female members of the family are great cooks, with smiles at anytime. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with roomy accommodation, with plenty of storage. The rooms are basic but typical Turkish and very comfortable, air conditioning and the delicious riverside (watch the Turtles) breakfast included, is at a very economical price. The menu is simple, but tasty, and again very economical for the area, try the casseroles, super! Our stay at the Sirius was by accident, but luck was with us, we will be returning again soon, we have stayed at three other locations in Dalyan, but this is the best by far. If you require a peaceful relaxed lay back time in Dalyan, you will find no better a location, with warm happy, obliging and gentle people, with a warm inviting swimming pool, surrounded by pure nature.
The Komurcu family are a joy to know and share our time with; we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Just arrive and your dreams have started. Thank you Sirius.

Unique Quality: GREAT FAMILY RUN FRIENDLY AND ECONOMICAL ACCOMODATION

Sultan Palas Hotel: Sultan Palas Hotel

The Sultan Palas Hotel, where we first stayed in September 2010, is a small and comfortable hotel situated in a secluded position surrounded by forested mountains on the opposite side of the river to the town of Dalyan and slightly upstream from it. At the centre of the hotel, which is surrounded by its own attractive gardens, are the swimming pool and open-air dining area. The service, facilities and food are all excellent, and when we returned for a second visit in May 2011, we were welcomed back like old friends. The hotel owns its own river boat which transports guests to and from Dalyan.

Cinar Sahil Otel (Cinar River Coast Hotel): Comfort, peace and nice view

We liked a lot this pension for its location, directly on the river with a very scenic terrace from where you can see the river flowing and the imposing carved rocks of Dalyan.
The hotel is peaceful, with comfortable rooms with A/C, free car parking and a nice garden. It's located in the very city centre, few metre from the pedestrian way, surrounded by restaurant and a couple of minutes walk from the tour boats departures.
The owner is kind and helpful.

Unique Quality: Location, view from the terrace, kindness of the owner.

Villa Duran: Best appartments in Dalyan

In 2004 we travelled with a Dutch travel company called Portakal to Dalyan and stayed in one of the appartments of Villa Duran. This small appartment complex, run by the three brothers Duran, it is one of the most marvellous appartments of Dalyan. It is clean, spacious and the friendly family is doing it's utmost to make your stay as pleasent as can be. It is near the city centre and one of the brothers ownes a boat on which you can make wonderfull trips on the lakes and sea.

Unique Quality: Large and clean appartments, clean swimming pool, very friendly family, one of the brothers ownes a boat and take you out for marvellous boat trips.

Kilim Pansiyon..: Pension

Each time we went to Dalyan we stay in this cosy Pension.. The pension is to the end of the town..It is silent and very clean..

Each time we stay there we have pleasant memories, the pension is more like a guest house, cause the owners starts good relations with every visitor and all of a sudden you find yrself in a barbeque party at night..

Bungalows or small and pretty hotels..

If you are an enthusiast of nature, wooden houses will be great experience.
Additionaly hospitality of locals makes you very happy. Hotels, motels and pensions are other alternatives. Far from crowd of Bodrum or Marmaris, Dalyan is a lovely escape.
