Travel Tips for Dalyan

Boat tour scenes 8. Mud baths

by Erkmen

The boat will take you to Mudbaths which is runned by a private owner..

The 39C mudbaths and thermal waters are the main interest of the ladies, who wants to look more younger..

Have some mud on your body.. Wait till it gets dried and afterwards take a shower and then went to the pool with thermal hot water

TURTLE BEACH

by whitecliff62

This photo shows part of Turtle beach, where the Caunos river in Dalyan meets the sea, all the area for miles is protected because of the endangered loggerhead turtles who come here to lay there eggs in the wonderful soft sandy beach. Nobody is alowed on the beach at night because this is when they are most active. We did see a turtle last year when we visited but unfortunately this year we did not. In my view this is the best beach in Turkey.

My one day visit to DALYAN

by balhannah

DALYAN,................ the name, means "Fishing Weir",
The River Dalyan flows through the Town.

Fishing is very important to the Local economy and a new Weir has been built on the river, together with a Fish Processing Plant where Red Roe Caviar is processed.

Lots of local fish can be enjoyed at local Restaurants.

The threatened Loggerhead Turtle resides at breeding time on the Beach not far from Dalyan town.

Luckily, this area is now protected and the beach is closed at night to protect these animals.

My visit to Dalyan was a full day tour from Marmaris.

It included the usual sights of the Mud Baths, Delta, Tombs, Beach and more.........................

It was an area that was pretty and if I had more time, probably would have enjoyed spending a little more of it here.
