Pigs Bay Camp: Tranquil retreat deep in the nature

Pigsbay Beach is a remote beach with clear blue seas and a deep green forest valley. It is inaccessible by road and this makes it a perfect retreat location. It has 22 double rooms and a great camping area right by the beach. The valley extends back into forest where little trails lead to streams and waterfalls. Lots of wildlife thrive in this untouched piece of protected nature. I was there for the full moon and the moon rose almost red right in the middle of the beach. In fact it is also a very romantic place for couples. At night we sat around the fire on the beach and sang songs while some others were entertaining themselves in the bar. This month they are starting a cool workshops program so you may want to check out which workshops will take place when you are there (they have stuff like neo-shaman initiation, sufi dance, yoga, thai massage, etc.)

Unique Quality: Only accessible by a half hour boat ride (free). Really silent and peaceful. The sea is also very special, crystal clear deep blue. The food was also great.

Club Datca: A Decent Holiday Village

I have been to this hotel 17 years ago with my family and liked very much. The hotel was not full this time so the staff was very much interested with us, we were lucky

Unique Quality: Near the sea, has a nice pool with sea water, nice rooms and natural beauties

HOTEL TROPICANA: AUTHENTICITY

We ( my family and me) were there last summer (2006), we came accross this hotel and were tired of looking for a nice, cheap but quality hotel.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they offered us soft drinks, let us time to take our breath, explain the philosophy of their management and last but not the least : they made a discount for a 7 nights stay.
The place is awsome, close to the beach, lake and children park but also close to the port.
The service was astonnishing for a hotel like that, we have laready been to luxurious and expensive hotel without having this attention and hospitality.
The best surprise has been their cuisine, the cook ( Yilmaz bey) is a genius. You can also go for the dinner even if you are not an hotel costumer, prices are very cheap for such quality.

Unique Quality: Basicaly, rooms are not luxurious but very smart and tidy.
All the hotel had been refreshed in 2006 (winter) and all the objet were brand new ( towel, sheet, glasses, cutleries,curtains ...).
You have a well-decorated lobby and tv corner, we enjoy the pool table (free) and the cocktails from the bar ( Tropicana cocktail is recommanded, a little bit expensive but unique)
Our children had great time in the swimming pool, and my wife liked it because the venue was discreet.
Last thing, they have a fantastic terrasse floor where the view is beautiful, all the Datça is on your eyes.

If you want to stay in a quiet and peacefull places, in Old Datca there are pensions that you can stay.Old Datca is not so far to the centrum but of course you have to walk or use a car for reaching the coast.

Tunc Pansion

Tunc Pansiyon is run by two brothers who both speaks good English and they are very helpful.
I got a comfortable room with two beds, a balkony, a fan and a bathroom. I paid 25 000 000 TL and breakfast is included in the price. At breakfast you get your own pot with lots of hot coffee.
I also went across the street to Askin Pansion. It also seemed to be nice but for 20 000 000 TL (no breakfast) I was going to get a smaller room that at Tunc and nowhere to put things.
