Kayakoy
by sandysmith
Wandering around the ruins of the abandoned greek village of Kayakoy was enjoyable albeit eerie....to think so many people had once lived, worked and played here. Some scenic trails start from here down to Fethiye or Olu Deniz with great views of the coastline. More info on my small Kayakoy page
Turquoise Blue
by mabozer
Fethiye reminds most of us of; OLUDENiZ. The world famous and one of the most beautiful wonders in the world Oludeniz , worths travelling miles and miles, for the turquoise blue waters wonderful lagoon. The crysyal pure water of Oludeniz is so clean that it is almost cleaner than the water you drink at home (if we omit the salt!)
Fethiye: Walk to Kaya Köyü Pt 2.
by Intrepidduck
The desired pathway leading to Kaya Köyü runs for about 10Km from Fethiye. It is a bit sketchy in some parts however for most of it's course there is an old cobbled roadway reminisant to what are commonly found throughout Greece. Parts of the old roadway travel through shady stands of forest, past many beehives and through a small inhabited section of what was once the main village, where today exists a decent out door cafe.
Butterfly Valley
by Aurorae
A very beautiful beach and valley that can be reached only by boat (there is a boat service from Ölüdeniz three times per day), a place where hundreds of species of butterflies stay from spring to autumn, and great hiking trails in the hills behind, including waterfalls and lots of exuberant Mediterranean vegetation and animals.
There is Robinson holiday resort, where you can camp or stay in straw&wood made mini cabins. There is no water, electricity or any trace of civilization!
But, there is a bar on the rocks, called Rock Bar. :)
