Need an apartment in Fethiye town for 1 week

by pBrane

Arriving in Fethiye 5th june for 1 week to show my mum and briother the area. I am looking for a 3 bed apartment in Fethiye town for 1 week, or maybe a 2 bed apartment with a 'sleepable' roof terrace.

Alternatively are there reasonable hotels in Fethiye town? There seem to be plenty in Calis and Oludeniz etc..

Cheers

Go to Calis as it's only a short dolmus or boat ride away and has a beach, well almost,it's pretty narrow. The afternoon breeze in Calis is more cooling,in Fethiye it can get too hot.OK less to do in Calis but not as crazy as Olu Deniz which could be too noisy. If staying anywhere around then take some mozzie killing stuff, can be bad.

Travel Tips for Fethiye

Rock Tombs

by Erkmen

Behind the town center lays the rock tomns of the kings.. One of the most interesting sites to visit in Fethiye..

When you visit the rock tombs, you will understand why the kings has choosen this place to have their tombs..

The view is fascinating..

Butterflys and Nature

by galatian

Butterfly Valley is about 10-15 km east of Oludeniz where highly dense touristic activities located. Only accessable from sea. A rough track (even climbing) connects the valley to the village Faralya 400 m over on the mountains surrounding. Perfect sea, and rock bar at night.

Priest tomb

by Aurorae

This is the best perserved tomb, and the biggest one. In the evening you can see it well enlightened from Fethiye, it is just behind the downtown. It looks incredible! This was the tomb of a priest, and that is why it's temple shaped.

Blue Lagoon

by Aurorae

It's literally the most beautiful beach i have ever been to. The water is still, warm, the beach is sandy and miniature pebbles, there are enormous quantities of pines, pam trees and olives all around, the colours of the sea are amazing...
There are several bars, toilettes, places to rent pedal boats, canoa and water sports cabin, also the beds and sunshade umbrellas are for rent - 3 million per piece!!!
Everything is so perfect, except for the sun that disappears quite soon (around 4.30 in October), behind the hill protecting the lagoon! But you can always pick your things up and move over to the other side of the beach. ;)
There are even ducks in the shade beside the water, in quiet corners!
Everything is so clean, neat and well kept.
To enter the lagoon, you have to pay the entrance fee of 2 million Turkish Liras (1 euro = 1,8 million, 1US$ = 1,5 million).
Here you can see it well from the air.

Butterfly valley

"Hard rock cafe"

butterfly valley is a paradise for nature lovers.. No car, No pollution, Ne electric but all Nature..

There is a real Hard rock cafe there.. No not the famous cafe chain.. it is a place on the Hard rock and you sit there watch th bay from above..

"Grapes"

You can have 3 times a day meal served by the volunteers at the valley. and the eating place is full covered with grapes..

"Night"

Sunset at the buttefly valley.. With nature in peace

"Aproach to the water fall"

There is a very nice waterfall at the end of the valley..

"Climbing the waterfall"

You should be very carefull while climbing up there.. Ýt is quiet slippery and there are very dangerous parts. You need a good pair of shoes.. Although there are ropess to help climbers in some places, you can never guess how the stones will react..
