pomegranates
Naturally, nothing unusual for the Mediterranean area, plenty of pomegranate trees. The yields are already ripe and juicy, I was wicked and mean and picked up one (and ate it here at home!) I just couldn't resist...

Hi,
I and my family want to have a trip (for 7 days) to Olu Deniz.(5 adults and a 7 year-old child) We're coming from Tehran (Iran). What do u think the cheapest way to get there is?
like for example half of the way with train another with bus
or like fly to Izmir and then by bus to Fethiye or Olu Deniz.
What do u recommend?
I can tell you that Olu Deniz is just a short local bus ride from Fethiye, no more than 30 minutes. If I were coming from Iran I would fly to Bodrum and take a bus to Fethiye.
If you can get a flight to Dalaman, I'd go this route as Dalaman is closer to Fethiye.
Going to Olu Deniz from Fethiye is easy and quick. Take a dolmuz, the cheapest option, and you'll be in Olu Deniz in less than 30 minutes.
Dalaman is the nearest airport but flight destinations from there are very very limited (frustrating when you live nearby as I do!). Antalya airport would be the next best option I think.

In the deeper inland there are endless cotton fields, and when I visited, it was the time for the 3rd harvest. There were people working on the fields picking the cotton up, but some of the plants were abandoned. Cotton has to be picked up before the rain, but unfortunately this wasn't the case this time.
A wonderful lagoon and super touristy beaches.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the lagoon itself since the boats are not allowed to enter anymore. We had to throw the anchor at the entrance an swim or take the dinghy to discover this awesome landscape...
Once upon a time, the god Apollo fell in love with the youngest daughter of Finike King. The girl was so shy that he had to find an exceptional way to get closer to her. To live close to her, he turned himself into a little puppy. When he won her heart, he appeared as a handsome young guy. The couple named their first kid as Telmessos (The city of lights). Once Telmessos, now known as Fethiye, is where green meets the charm of the sea.
