Green Forest Hotel: Green, and in a forest.
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Lovely gardens, excitable tortoises (they like cucumber), clean pool and rooms, wide range of well-cooked breakfast and dinner (buffet-style) food, working air-conditioning and fridge, friendly staff. Ideally placed, in that it's about 5 minutes walk from the Hisaronu main drag and well away from consequent noise. Surrounded by pine forest, with ?cicadas very evident. Rooms in two-storey blocks facing hotel gardens. Nice man with little shop at hotel gate to sell you water/ cigarettes/ fruit/ sweeties etc. Shame about the music at dinner (and the bar in the evening).....very odd mix, same songs played each night so felt like screaming after 5 nights! Their 'private beach' is shared with another hotel, isn't particularly pleasant and is really not worth visiting.

Really liked the tortoises (at least 20), especially the one who'd escaped the tortoise compound and snuck around the grounds. And the man at the gate was both friendly and extremely useful (saved carrying water etc from the village).

Club Magico Bronzo: Value for Money
  • Satisfaction:
  • Magic Bronzo was a great Turkish hotel with a lively international feel. There is a large pool and water slide, entertainment 7 nights a week, the hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are as friendly as they come.

If you are expecting 5* quality for 3* prices then you need to look elsewhere. Saying that, Magico Bronzo may be basic but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Be aware that the food (at time of stay in 2006) was primarily Turkish, a bonus for people like me who wish to sample foreign culture and cuisine, but a negative for Brits who travel away and still want their home comforts and British food.

The Pink Palace: Great all-round hotel
  • Satisfaction:
  • We had an excellent stay at The Pink Palace, and having booked the holiday through Telextext we had been telling ourselves not to expect too much from the hotel. When we arrived we had a slightly uncomfortable moment with regards to tipping the man who carried our bags to our room because he didn't understand that we hadn't got any change seeing as we'd only landed about an hour before! We laughed about it and got on with having an amazing time at the hotel. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

The pool was really clean and was a good size; it never got too crowded. There was a gym and table tennis table (although this obviously hadn't been used for a while) and plenty of loungers and cusions to keep us comfortable at the poolside. One of the best aspects about this restaurant was its catering service: in the early evening there were burgers and chips for the kids / fussy eaters; later in the evening there was a fresh meal cooked infront of you and a salad and desert bar. Probably the best thing about it all was that the board of this hotel is only 'all-inclusive', meaning that we could help ourselves to as much food and beers / vodkas / wine / soft drinks as we pleased while we ate in the poolside / poolside restaurant / poolside bar. On top of this the location was excellent as it was a 5 minute walk from Hisaronu so we could wonder to the local bars if we wanted to in the evening. It's also close to Oludeniz which is a really nice beach with gorgeous blue water. I would go back happily.

The Bozbey is a small, family-run hotel just off the main street of Hisaronu.
It is fantasic value for money, the owners and staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel has a large pool terrace, bar and safety deposit facilities.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good-value, comfortable place to chill out before partying in Hisaronu. The location is brilliant - near enough for all the action but set back far enough for noise not to be a problem. As the dolmuses stop at the top of the street, you can also explore Olu Deniz, Fethiye, Kaya Koyu etc. with ease. The rooms are cleaned and waste collected every day and linen changed twice a week, this happened without fail. The cleaners were also very considerate when we'd had a few too many the night before and slept in!

Location is amazing - close to town centre but still peaceful.
Pool terrace is spacious and clean.
Each room has a balcony or terrace large enough to sit out on.
Most outstanding quality is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
