HAS ANY1 STAYED AT THE ABACUS COMPLEX? ANY INFO
The Abacus has again had another name change and is now called,
Litera Hotels & Resorts.
While we were there last week things have improved imensley from last season and I heard more positive than negative reviews,food seemed to be of a good quality and plentifull.
Take sterling. Your apartment, or many restaurants, hotels or corner shops, will give yo ua better exchange rate than you got at home. Our record was 8% better.
I was surprised and pleased in this context that Garantia bank's ATM's will actually dispense sterling - and, amazingly, it looks as though there was no charge for this if I've read my statement correctly.

Karaoke is the entertainment after 10pm along with the dancing done by the staff,everyone is encouraged to take part and get involved in the entertainment.
Refurbished in 2006 everything is clean and brand new. The sweets are to die for
When waking up to or first day In Icmeler it looked a bit over touristy, not as quiet as Oludeniz, but as we started to explore this town, you begin to fall in love with it as it truly has a good balance of old and new buildings.
The old village which is only a 10 minute walk from any point in the town is a good place to stay, as the beaches and nightlife are as I said only 10 minutes walk away.
There is pleanty of nightlife if you need it, and, some lovely select resaurants in the old village if you want it quieter or just that romantic evening with your significant other.
The people as always, are very very friendly (sincere friendly not friendly grab your money).
The beaches are good and safe for non-swimmers and children.
The locals are also very outgoing, and, you will soon discover that in the evenings the waiters at numerous restaurants will put on a show of dancing and general good showmanship.
Marmaris is the towns neighbour which is only 10 minutes away by dolmus (small bus) and it is extremely spoilt by the over commercialism, and it seems to attract the very unattractive types of tourists. It's good for larger shops and the large Friday Market. It has an attractive attractive promonade, but that is it. Stay in Icmeler it as far nicer a place.
