somewhere cheap for young couple to stay ?cheap hotels? cheap flights?

hi i me and my family are coming back to icmeler in september? my brother and his girlfriend now wanna come as well but its expensive for just the two of them as most rooms /hotels are based on 4 sharing.does anybody know of any cheap hotels in icmeler area? also does anyone know of ways of getting cheap flights from the southwest of england?

Hi Hans.
Try this site for flights and also the one for Apartments.
The Apartments are for the room and not per person.
Transfares can also be arranged from and to Dalaman.
I use these apartments myself they are in the centre.

Hi there, as a fequent traveller to Icmeler i recommend:

www.flythomascook.com (i flew back and forth from Dalaman to London last year through this site, cheapest ticket was £12.99, a real bargain, look out though they change their prices v.quickly)
www.a1travel.com (always reasonable for dalaman and have great selection of hotels also).
www.tulipholidays.com(i booked through these this year, turkish airlines, give you a better luggage allowance and were cheapest i found since flights all seemed so expensive)

Just looked at the Thomas Cook site and the cheapest flight is £795.60 at the moment !!!!

Try www.XL.com they are pretty cheap about £150 at the moment

there is the cartier hotel, very cheap its opposite the miray hotel bang above linekers bar. only book this tho if they are planning on eatin out cos the food int up ta much bt the rooms r basic bt clean. it shares a pool with the grass apartments which is luvly stayed there loads the staff are fab! and they do well nice food even pizza n chips jus lyk home!

Travel Tips for Icmeler

Excellent food every meal!

To be fair all the restaurants we visited in Icmeler during our 11 night stay produced excellent food so it was difficult to choose which were the best. The best was definately Loveboat. It was slightly more expensive than the others (about £8 for a steak) but was absolutely delicious and offered great variety. Harry's steak haouse was also very good and offered a wide variety. One of their best meals was Harry's Ottoman Dream which was for a family and came flambed. It consisted of lamb and beef strips cooked with tomatoes and onions in a sauce and served with rice and potattoes. It was excellent. Artemis was alo very good and also served a good variety of traditional English dishes for the less adventurous. Black sea also produced excellent steaks and had excellent service. Loveboat - steak in caramelised onion sauce

Trip To Akyaka

One of The trips we did last year was to a little town on the Gokova Bay called Akyaka.
It was only an hour from Icmeler and on the way we stopped at a couple of rock tombs from days gone.

Arriving in Akyaka was as I imagined it, a beautifull little village with this magnificent backdrop of mountains.
Having an harbour area and the Azmac river running into the bay over which river is a rustic wooden bridge,this has got to be a photographers paradise.
Fish restaurents lined the pretty promenade and one step and you were on to the beach area, were sunbeds and brollies were in abundence.
2 beds and 1 brolly 4ytl.
The beach shelved gently into the sea and you could walk out 150mtrs before having to swim,this was great for Andre and he loved jumping and diving into the waves.
We left Akyaka at 3.30 arriving Icmeler 4.30,oh I wish we had that beach and sea at Icmeler.
Then they havent got any "3 Bells" "Lion Bar" "Majestic Boys" etc, or do they actualy desire them? I think not,this is a resort for those who like peace and tranquilityand that is what reigns in this Turkish resort.
