Child Friendly & Entertainment
All areas of Turkey are "Child Friendly".
A lot of restaurents provide PS2 Games free, pool table, and children play areas
Restaurents I can recommend in Icmeler are.
Dreamboys International,on the side of the canal, entertainment 10pm till midnight.
Venice Restaurent, again at the side of the canal, entertainment 10pm till midnight.
Majestic Restaurent,on the side of the canal, entertainment 10pm till midnight.
These are the big 3 at the side of the canal all serving top quality food and having some wonderfull entertainment.
Music in Icmeler goes off at midnight but you can drink as long as you like but generaly bars close at 2am.
You will be spoilt for choice on eating in the restaurents of Icmeler and all put on some kind of entertainment after people have finished eating.
Great Turkish Foods and English alike
Beach bar and restaurant by day and lively bar and restaurant by night. Right on the beach. with Good variety of food and very friendly staff. Waiting on you on the beach by day and dressing up to wait on you at night.
Free Sunbeds on the beach and a dance show by the beach watiers around 2pm. Disco and Karaoke every night, full monty shows, traditional Turkish Folk Dancing, Barman Show, the lot.
It was 20 years old when we were there and was invited to the party. Snakes, breakdancers, Turkish Folk Dancing, Disco the lot, a really excellent evening. The owner and his family, joined us in the fun with a huge 5 tier cake - of which we all got a slice and a free cocktail too.
Bruce, Jenges, Fred etc gave us a really good hollday with their WE DID IT MY WAY MUSIC AND DANCING. Very varied choice, hard to pick but the shrimp caserole was tasty, but the fish dishes were wonderful. You can have local turkish, english, mexican, french and indian dishes. Pizzas, Pasta and snacks too. Something for everyone. We dined here 2 evenings and was well happy.
This year we ate there 3 evenings and was pleased with the food again. We tried Seabream.and Seabass but there were other fish on the menu all cooked to perfection and prepared at you table which is great for me as hate finding bones. The entertainment was wilder than ever with most of the same staff there to make your holiday special, like Fred, Max, Kevin, Apo, Bruce, Simon, and new ones like Carlos ( who was lovely) You could get up and sing then the boys would dance their turkish folk dances, then there would be an act like Shirley Bassey then the disco with music for all ages.We had a ball as usual. We spent every day on the beach here too so had lunches each day which were served at our sunbeds or in the restaurant whichever you felt like. The sunbeds and brollies are free as long as you have a drink etc which is fair.
"Our first visit to Icmeler 2003"
Our first visit to Icmeler didn’t get off too well. We arrived to our hotel in a back street just on the edge of icmeler. We arrived in the middle of the night to a not so good hotel, in need of major restoration. This was our first holiday in Turkey and we weren’t sure if we hadn’t made a great mistake. The room was clean and the staff were friendly enough, so we thought we would give the hotel the benefit of doubt
This was the beginning to what turned out to be the best holiday you could imagine. What a wonderful place, the lads in the hotel were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them, more than making up for the run down building.
We found the people in Icmeler to be very friendly, all the restaurants and bars we tried had good food. The place itself is clean and well kept and for some reason there are very few mozzies.
Not only did we enjoy our first holiday in Icmeler we have enjoyed a further five holidays in the place without complaint. Although we didn’t go back to the first Hotel, we do have fond memories of the place and can only smile when we think of our first impression of what turned out to be one of our favorite places
"Favorite experiences in Icmeler"
Our early cup of tea in the Cerit café just down from the Juniper Hotel. An English cup of tea always served with a smile by Sema or Abraham the owner’s. A lovely couple who are always pleased to see you.
My first evening meal of the holiday in the Venice on the canal, always steak and always first class.
Sizzling on the beach to the right of the canal with a glass of Effes and cooling of with a swim when I find I am getting too hot.
A night in the Harmony watching the Stella Show or the compulsory Turkish night in the Hotel being warned not to get up by the wife and not being able to refuse the belly dancers invitation to make a fool of myself.
Taking a taxi-boat to Turunc getting to this lovely and friendly village is most of the enjoyment chugging over the sea with wonderful scenery, watching Liz my wife choose some more marble fruit for her collection and worrying if we will be charged excess baggage on our flight home.
Haggling with the stall holders in the weekly market and carrying the black bin bag full of my treasures to the hotel knowing that I’ve bought things I didn’t want or need but they were a bargain. I could go on for ever with what I enjoy about Icmeler
