You might want to check first: (1) if there is one in the area, (2)if it's open in May. I don't think it gets hot enough in May for waterparks to be open but I may be wrong.
The only water park I've seen in Turkey is in Antalya since it's next to the hotel I stayed in, Hillside Su.

there is a water park on the beach front in marmaris ,but you can pick flyers up on the streets ofr from your hotel, they do 1/2 days and full days and there are life guards there good place to go make sure you get deal , tell them a friend sent you from rovers return and you will get a small discount

There is a water park in Marmaris in fact I think there's two. Firstly the Atlantis waterpark right next to the beach. I don't know how much it costs but if you go on the web (type in Atlantis waterpark Marmaris) you can print off a 10% discount ticket. But be warned. If your "monsters" are under a certain height they are not allowed on the slides. I know this to my cost and my 6 year old grandson was very dissapointed with the whole day. Secondly I have heard there is another water-park "up on the hill" somewhere called Dream water park or something. I am going to try and find it as we are also going to Marmaris in May.

On most large holiday resorts you will find one of these THE BANNANA BOAT. This is a real screem, but make sure you close your mouth if you are unlucky enough to be tipped off. I did not and ended up swollowing half the mediteranian sea hahahahaha. Lifejackets provided
The one historic thing to see in Marmaris is the fort on top of the hill in the old part of town. It's quite small, and what you see is pretty much what you get. Worth a visit mainly because it provides some excellent views of the surrounding town and bay, being one of the highest vantage points available.
Marmaris is lovely place, and enjoyable for everyone. It has a lot to offer, monuments, amphitheatre, mosques, bizarres and great places to eat.
The people are quite nice but some shop keepers / restaurants owners maybe a little pushy in getting you to dine with/buy from them. Turkish food is really nice and well worth trying it.
Most people speak English, however the turks appreciate you trying to speak their language, even if its the simple - please, thank u , etc.
