More about Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

Great holiday!

by A TripAdvisor Member

Just returned after spending two weeks at this resort from 19/9/05 to 4/10/05.
We had a great holiday. The hotel was spotless, the staff great and the food excellent. We had been to Turkey before (Altinkum) 6 years ago and were in no hurry to return, however, this hotel and resort has changed our minds and we would definately reccommend both.
We were allocated a room in the seperate block across the road from the main complex, which at first we were a bit disappointed about, however the room was lovely, not huge, but had loads of cupboard space and a great shower. By the end of the two weeks we were actually pleased that we were in this block rather than the main complex.
There was poolside entertainment every day, darts, pool games, water polo and of course the 'club dance!' but by the middle of our second week the clientele were older and not so keen to take part so this did stop some of the activities taking place. The entertainment team were great, lead by Mr Bean and mad Mr Air ! They will probably not be everyones cup of tea but they work really hard and certainly give it 100%. We went to have a realxing two weeks (which we did) but by the end of the 1st week, I have to admit I was 'club' dancing round the pool too! There were some coments in the hotel comments book trashing the evening entertainment saying it was not up to scratch, but it was funny, and again the staff gave 100% every time. Think those people must have been expecting professional cabaret (maybe they should go back to Benidorm!)

there was really bad rain the day before we came home and Olu Deniz, Hisaronu and Fethiye suffered some bad flooding. Our room was unfortunately flooded, but by the time we had returned to our room, all our belongings had been bagged and moved to another room already, the staff did a fantastic job!
We would definately like to return to this hotel, and next time I will definately save some money to go paragliding, it looked awesome!

(ps watch out if you get challenged to down a pint of lager by 'Mr Steve' he's a bit of a dark horse! )

Just fab!

What can we say - everything was perfect. Lovely food, caring staff, good atmosphere and modern clean hotel. Would recommend to everyone of all ages, kiddies and grannies alike!

See you next year!

Good Hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

Just got back from this hotel 13th Oct to 20th Oct.

Not a bad hotel overall. My partner and I didn't arrive at the hotel till 3:30am in the morning only to be given a key to our room with no direction of where it is and on arrival to our room the air conditioning was broken which took the engineer over an hour to fix so not the best start to a holiday.

The hotel rooms are very clean and well looked after with very good facilities and were spotless every time we came back to our room in the evening.

While there we also had no hot water one night but reception were very difficult to get any help from, it was back working the next morning.

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, but room by the pool is hard come by and you will probably find yourself sitting/laying in the gardens.

Unfortunately if you want peace and quite this may not be the best place to stay. From mid morning activity staff are out and can be very loud and annoying at times, mid day is followed by the club dance around the pool with more activates in the afternoon.

Apart from the hotel grounds what really makes this hotel standout is the quality of its restaurant. The quality of the food and the choice is excellent, the restaurant staff are excellent and our wine glasses were never empty while having dinner.

8:30 pm is the kids mini disco which is entertaining followed by the entertainment staff putting on a show every evening from 9:30pm.

All in all it was a generally good holiday although I would recommend going earlier in the year as the pool was freezing.

This hotel is perfect for family holidays.

First Class Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member JulieWorcestershire

Stayed at this hotel for one week in October and loved it, our room was in one of the Annex's across the road from the hotel but very nice, quite small but fine for two of us, very very clean, couldn't fault it at all, the maids come in every day and changed towels and made sure the room was spotless, our balcony was very peaceful overlooking the garden's. Food what can I say, first class and lots of variety, staff were so friendly too. the lads who work around the pool are great, constantly coming around filling up your glasses and taking orders for food. The weather was lovely too during the day , we came home very tanned but it went very chilly in the evenings, you really do need to wear a jumper or something as the eating areas are mainly outside, although they do light a fire in the inside dining area, but a bit difficult to get a seat in there somtimes. An enterance leads right onto the beach and the shops are right outside and it costs about 50p to catch the bus to the village up the hill about 10 mins away, nice to have a ride up in the evenings and grab some bargains !! We also had a Turkish bath for the 1st time at the hotel, a real must.. lush, All in all one of the best holidays we have had, we will be going back for sure this Summer, cant wait. Lovely Hotel 1st Class, A big thanks to all of the hardworking staff who really try to make sure you have a great time !!

absolutly fantastic!

Absolutely Fabulous

by TripAdvisor Member lindacanning

We arrived on 23rd May at 3.00am & was actually taken to our room with all the luggage carried for us which was great. The scenery was the first thing we noticed & you will see never see views like this anywhere. If you don't want to sit by the pool all day they have lovely gardens where you can relax which are very popular.

The food, staff and weather could not be faulted. They make you feel part of the family &
can't do enough for you. Every night there is a kids club at 8.30pm & at 9.30pm they have a show which can be anything from a Micheal Jackson tribute(fab) to a Musical Night or Turkish dancing. The staff are so talented & funny you just can't stop laughing. At 10.30pm most people go to the cocktail bar(overlooks the sea)& you can dance to the latest music or have a quiet drink whilst watching everyone have a good time.

The turkish bath will cost you £10.00 but if you book it outside you will only be charged £8.00.It is great fun & you will love it. We also went on a few boat trips but again if you want to save money book through the people outside as you could save quite a bit on money. We went parasailing which was £36.00 for 2 people & it was really exciting & a brilliant experience. There is also the famous Blue Lagoon Beach which is really good and you can hire out pedalos for an hour for about £6.00 which was lovely.

The Turkish people are brilliant & really make you feel so welcome. You can eat & drink as much as you like all the time & there are drinkd machines so you can help yourself to water & juices whenever you like. At 3pm they have ice-cream time & at 5pm they have tea & cake time so you will never go hungry.
We will definitely be booking for next year as it is the best holiday we have ever had & if you have kids there is a kids club & lots of entertainment for them so they won't get bored.
ABSOLUTELY FAB!!!! YOU MUST GO AND HAVE A GREAT TIME 10/10

CBB is VVG

by TripAdvisor Member davecsimpson

Just returned from a week at the CBB booked through Thompson on the strength of the reviews here at TA and I was not disappointed.

We flew into Dalaman from Glasgow arriving about 11.00pm and I would recommend to anyone arriving late to do as we did and arrange a private transfer to the hotel (journey time 1 hour, as opposed to 2.5 hrs on the bus!) you can do this by emailing the hotel direct (costs £60 return for 4 people) well worth the extra money.
After a hassle free check in which took about 5 minutes, our cases were taken by a porter to our room and I had time for a drink in the Plaza bar before midnight (cut off time for the AI) then off to bed, only to be woken about 2am by all the new arrivals who had travelled on the bus!!!

Anyway, the things that really matter:

Food: you will never go hungry here, and there is something for everyone (unless you are of the pie and chips brigade) Great selection at the buffet, lots of fresh fruit etc at breakfast as well as made to order omlette's. At night you can do the buffet again or try the a la carte restaurant which is very good.

Drinks: Lots of it!! as long as you like gin, vodka, wine and beer!

Hotel Staff: Something you rarely see in the UK- friendly, helpful, smiling staff who really enjoy their work.

Facilities: Top notch, everything you want is on the doorstep, lots of excursions available too, but do yourself a favour, dont book through the rep, do it yourself and save lots of money. I didn't have the bottle to go paragliding, but if you have an inkling to throw yourself off a mountain tied to a big handkerchief go ahead, it looks great fun!!

To finish off:
Everything about this hotel is right, from the location right on the beach, to the layout, the friendly enthusiastic staff through to the management who ensure the high standard doesnt slip. Did I mention how spotless this place is?

Just goes to show that some hotels can cater for the mass market and still take pride in what they do. It's little wonder I met so many repeat guests.
I will have no hesitation in going back, bet you do too. Have a great holiday.

Bad hotel - great location

by TripAdvisor Member happyatif

The food was really really tasteless and bad quality. We were surrounded by people getting drunk, the hotel was much more expensive than local turkish equivalent hotels and the service of the staff was pretty poor.
The standard of the rooms was much lower than another hotel we checked in for half the price.

Go Now, while you can.......

by TripAdvisor Member buggerthis

Just got back from a week at this Hotel, everything that you will (and I have) read in the reviews about it is correct. All in, an excellent hotel with spotless accommodation, good food (I’m a chef of 30 years experience), exceptionally attentive and friendly staff, who try very hard to please, good location right on the beach. I could find fault with the entertainment as I’m not impressed by slapstick comedy, but that’s me! But don’t let this put you off going. The only trouble is, it’s going to be difficult to find a bargain as this Hotel is going to become very popular.

"Great Place"

If you luv paragliding.. or ..just relaxing under the sun... or....or......so many things to do....cannot name it all....so why don't you just try it.

A small little town that still retains its charm inspite of the boom in housing estates.

We normally stay at the Belcekiz hotel with an ALL-IN formula. Eats and drinks both soft and local hard stuff is served the whole day free...every evening there is an entertainment arranged which you are free to join. The Hotel has one of the best locations and the staff are great people...charming and friendly.

There is a bus service 'DOLMUZ' that takes you to the other towns like 'FETHIYE' where there is a market once a week and you can get bargains to warm any womens' heart and a man's pocket.

Nice restaurants ...shops...bars....what more does one want!!!

Diving in Fethiye in end Sep?? Paragliding info??

by amybbb

Hi,

I'm thinking of diving in Fethiye/Olu Deniz in end sep, is it a good place for diving, will the water be very cold?? fishes are beautiful??

or is it better just on island hopping??
I've 3 days in Fethiye?

Anyone have been paragliding in Fethiye, any good suggestion which is safe and price be relatively reasonable??

thanks a lot!

Re: Diving in Fethiye in end Sep?? Paragliding info??

by MikeNessMonster

When I was in Olu Deniz I stayed at Belcekiz Beach Hotel and was quite impressed by it. It is one of the few spots right on the beach.

I didn't do any diving while I was there but I did go paragliding. We went with ReAction paragliding which is located on the beach side of the Belcekiz Beach Hotel, you can't miss it. There are a ton of paragliding outfits there and we looked into a few and were impressed by ReAction. The guys there were great and their equipment was fairly new but more importantly in great shape. I quite honestly can't remember how much it was but I will look back through my journal and try to track that down.

I would highly recommend paragliding if you are there - you'd be missing out on a huge part of Olu Deniz if didn't!

I hope that helps.

Hi hi, do you did it by yourself or you're doing a tandem?? I learnt a P-1 & P-2 last year but honestly I don't fly for the last 9 months since it's not very good to fly in my own country for new flyers....

Water temperature will be around 28c, check my VT pages for dive sites, companies and pictures.I will be there start of Oct and looking forward to some nice diving.

Hi, just come back from Olu Deniz (1st time in Turkey) and can honestly say the best place I've ever been to. Didn't do any diving, only snorkelling which was great and the water very warm. I amazed myself when went Paragliging off Mount Babadag's highest point. I went with the Reaction Team who were professional, understanding of first time nerves. All I want to do now is do it again, over and over and over. In fact, now thinking of learning professionally and perhaps moving out there!!!

Weather in Olu Deniz now? and anyone been to Lykia world?

by dondon26

Ive just won a holiday to Lykia World going on the 21st April. Would like to know the weather please.

RE: Weather in Olu Deniz now? and anyone been to Lykia world?

by cachaseiro

it will most likely be around 20 degrees celcius, but april can be tricky at times and you should be prepared for possible rain showers too.

Oludeniz is a pebble beach and it the water quite rough. No lifeguard is no duty so swim at your own risk. I haven't been to Lykia World but the hotel I stayed at was pretty decent and the food's good too. It Belcekiz Beach Club. I chose it because of its sprawling grounds and proximity to the beach but I was not at all impressed with the beach there. I like the beaches of Cesme which is real sand and hardly any pebbles.

looking for a hotel by the beach in fethiye to stay between 30th apr. and 4th may. nisanyan has not helped ...most hotels shut in april. would like to stay at a nice boutique hotel. is it better to stay at the big resorts, considering we'll be there for 4 days.also suggest some place at pamukkale for 2 nights.

RE: hotels

by canadiantrav

Hi I highly recommend the Villa Rhapsody located in the quiet ''ghost village'' of Kaya Koyu located about 15 mins from the Olu Deniz beach and Fethiye. So if you are able to stay a bit farther out do check this hotel out as it is a great place to stay. There are regular dolmus service to the nearby towns and beach.

good luck

RE: RE: hotels

A well-appointed beach club on Olu Deniz beach is Belcekiz Beach Club but you must book via a local (Turkish) travel agent as this hotel mainly caters to groups from England. It's an all-inclusive resort. The food was actually good. I don't know what it's like in April though nor do I know if they're actually open at that time. I went in July 2004.
http://www.oludenizbeach.com/belcekiz.html

For a posh resort, Hillside on the other side should be high on your list.

There's not much to do in Pamukkale aside from visiting Pamukkale and Heriapolis. I stayed in resort hotel near the town but I forgot the name since it was booked by a local for me. It was decent but there wasn't much to see/do there after seeing the two main sites. I was there for a business meeting in Denizli that's why I stayed for more than a night.
