More about Club Seray Forest
Fantastic Location And Friendly Staff
After being closed for nearly 2 years the Club Seray Forest Hotel has re-opened it's doors as an all inclusive hotel. Having at one time being self catering means that the newly refurbished rooms are large with separate bedrooms (air conditioned)lounge/kitchen and bathroom. The views from the rooms at the front of the hotels elevated position can only be described as fantastic, being able to see right down into the harbour in front and the wonderful green pine forest on the other three sides.
The pool is a good size, clean and now has a slide for all to play on, with sun loungers surrounding it for your sun bathing needs. An outdoor bar and an indoor/outdoor eating area is clean and nicely laid out.
Food is basic but acceptable, Breakfast is more continental than it is an english truck drivers breakfast, with cereals, cold meat, salad,boiled/scrambled eggs, toast etc. Lunch and dinner are simple salad options and a small selection of hot foods, Rice,Chips and a selection of meat and veg stew type meals and a small selection of traditional Turkish desserts. All nicely cooked
Drinks are of a good standard with pepsi, sprite and fanta being used and not cheap and nasty tasteless fizz being offered for the youngsters. Beer and local wine and spirits are also of a good quality.
Staff are polite helpful and friendly to say the least, with nothing being to much trouble for them, with a special mention for Aiden (Eden) and Aisen (Ayshen)
Because of the hotels location away from the main town,it offers a free bus 4 times a day to take you into Marmaris centre. Local buses also run every few minutes on a hop on hop off basis and cost 1.50tl (70p) per journey (great way to get around)
A lot has been said about the hill leading upto the hotel, yes it is a bit steep but the local bus will drop you off with only the last 100 yards to walk
The hotel also has it's own Turkish Bath and massage facilities (I can recommend the turkish bath, do it on your first or second day to really benefit,at 25tl or £11 for 90 minutes it's a bargain)
Entertainment is poor although they do try to get you involved.
To sum up our holiday. We had a fantastic time at this hotel, with friendley helpful staff and adequate amenities
Our holiday price breakdown meant that the hotel charged us £69pp, for 7 days of 3 meals a day, all we could drink air con (That works) etc, etc, etc.
Now thats less than £10 per day, so if you get this holiday for £300ish per week now you know how much the hotel gets of you £300, so all in all FANTASTIC VALUE.
We will be returning.
Pleased i stayed at this hotel
My husband had a moan soon as we arrived at the hotel saying it looks a bit away from the sea. After going into main marmaris he was glad that our hotel was away from the hustle and bustle. Couldnt fault the hotel at all. We went self catering but we did have a few meals and they were absolutely gorgeous! After eating out at other restraunts which you couldnt really fault but we all thought the hotels food was much nicer and very generous. Cheap too! Air conditioning was the cheapest weve ever paid anywhere. Husband and son had a turkish bath which they enjoyed. Brilliant hairdresser on site, son got his hair cut and the hairdresser took his time and it cost less than here at home. Towels were cleaned every day which we didnt expect! Free bus runs every hour to main marmaris but if you didnt want that time when it runs the Dolmus buses run every 5 minutes just down the hill which only costs 40p. I would return to the same hotel as alot of hotels we seen in marmaris had swimming pools no bigger than 10 foot wide! Club Seray has a lovely shaped pool and very clean. Entertainment on throughout the day and night to suit all ages.
scenery beautiful, marmaris great people
People very kind, went s/c not such high standards in rooms beds hard, no toilet tissue replaced , air-conditioning broke down, but good points ;; kids loved it , friendly staff, clean towels etc, pool great and yes plenty of sun beds no hassle .
Would recommend the jeep safari it was fantastic and the scenery was great.
Very cheap meals went out every night , nice cheap holiday and we are visiting marmaris again , although might stay in different area, of marmaris .
Its a lovely walk into marmaris for our evening meal , with children 9/13 they enjoyed all entertainment.
Overall good time for everyone.
My son(12) & i stayed in the seray forest last summer. We had a fab ho;iday
I have nothing negative to say at all. I travelled alone with my son and i had my worries he would be bored, how wrong i was.
This hotel is excellent for everyone, but the animation team were first class. Sky sports on large plasma showing all english football matches.
The food is superb and reasonably priced.
The rooms are basic but clean and daily maid service provided.
Air -con is £24 a week
For some strange reason toilet rolls aren't provided, so if you're used to the quilted variety make sure you pack some!!
weather was fab, 50 deg's, as the hotel is situated on a hill there was a very slight breeze at times and i got burn't on the first day.
HAVE A LOVELY HOLIDAY WE DID!
dont bother going
we stayed here in june 2008 for 2 weeks. it was terrible. we had sickness and bad tummys for all the time we were there. we complained but managers were not interested. its only been all inc since may 08 and its only a 3 star. no entertainment food is awfull they reuse same food food until its gone. its not kept refridgerated. rooms are ok pool isnt the cleanist or biggest. staff are brilliant, apart from that had a kind of ish ok hoilday. in my opinion id rather have spent more money than have 2 weeks of hell!!!!!!!!!!!
Pleasantly surprised also!
Booked on teletext on the friday and went on the monday back in 2005. Travelling with my boyfriend we were on our first holiday together at just 18 years old for a chilling out week!
And thats exactly what we got! The hotel was clean and the food in the hotel restaurant was good, we packed super noodles to have during the day as we were being thrifty!
The entertainment at night was great for young and old, we found it hard to enjoy ourselves out in the clubbing scene in the centre of the town and sitting at the hotel each night with the entertainment was just perfect; Magic shows, turkish dancers, people with snakes and a miss club seray pageant!
The pool was often busy as it was filled with children for most of the time, but there were never anyone pestering you to do anything!
Great holiday, would definately go back!
its not what it says no way a 4 **** more like a 2** rooms very basic, food not that good nothing for the children all tho i didnt have any with me but friends out there did, pool in spa still very dirty they said it was going to be cleaned and it was still the same when i left, drinks OK ,staff were great, managers not very happy, outside pool brill ,slide brill
but if anybody as booked just go there and switch off not worth complaining because they dont do anything about it....and they dont care a ????? waiters were stoped serving us because we were drinking to much so that made it worse all six of us went up and got rounds in so unlucky ,and there are more chiefs than indians just sitting around all day doing nothing ,say hello to armid he is very good ,,,if you fancy a good steak just go down bottom of the hill 2 min walk its called caroles £9 pound for a T bone ,,,good luck ,
Great Time Had By All!!
What can i say, have just returned from a weeks all inclusive at this hotel and had such a great week. Hotel was in a great location (away from the hustle and bustle of marmaris) but within easy reach of the town either by the free shuttle bus or local dolmus service.
Food and drink plentiful, I was a bit worried that there would be nothing for my fussy 3yr but there was always something she fancied.
Overall we had a great week and hope to return to this property again.
def not 4 star
Stayed here with two friends 11th - 18th May 09. Booked here after reading reviews on trip-advisor but nothing like the 8.6/ 10 it gets! Rooms were pretty basic, had no water at all one of the nights for shower etc until 8pm and had cold showers on two other nights. The food was pretty unbelievable, i don't think i have ever been to anything like it, and believe me i am not hard to please. there were four plates of olives put out for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is good if you like olives! there was always cucumber, tomatoes and other basic salad items for all three meals also. Breakfast was boiled eggs every morning and toast in a £4.99 supermarket toaster which did two bits of toast at a time! There was one cereal to chose from, lunch and dinner got a little better as the week went on but pretty basic really. Im just glad i did not have mt four year old with me as she would have had nothing to eat as they did not cater for kids at all, apples were the only fruit i seen the week i was there and i think there was chips once! The drink was very weak and my friend ended up bringing her own wine most nights.
The entertainment was pretty pathetic, and the bingo is a rip of at 20 Turkish Lira( about £8.50) per card and the prizes are awful. There was no entertainment on about three nights and i think everyone had a better time sitting around having a drink. They pay the same CD over and over again day and night and it keeps sticking. The pool is pretty good and the water slide if you can swim. I would not let my young kids in it though as at 5ft 9 i could just about stand up in it and it was the same all over. A young kid had to be rescued twice in his first day there! On the plus side the staff were great, especially the receptionist, ahmed- toast, ayden, hassan-photo man, barboy etc. There were a few guys there who were a bit to touchy-feely for my liking(they know who they are. lol but we all met some lovely people while there. Hi to Ray and Co in Wales, Simon and Lorraine, Martin and Family, Captain and Wife, Little Sam and Family, Jade, Lauren and Grandma Claire and all the other lovely people we met. From Andrea, Leigh and Molly, Belfast
reading this review is must!!
I totally agree with the review before this one!! this sums it up to a capital T!!!! my partner and i just wanted a really cheap getaway so we could relax and get soem sun, although we didn't think the rooms were that bad really the walls were paper thin so you might as weel just shared your room with the people next door, the staff were ok but as said before a couple of them were very sleazy and just made you feel very uncomfortable.... the food was pretty poor but fortunetely my partner and i was on a bit of a health mission so salad was ok for us, breakfast was very poor and i couldn't quite believe they had a 2 slot toaster to cater for all the people there... if you like salad or boiled eggs then you wil ok, the snacks and cakes were basically biscuits made from pie crust!!!! there was a big group with children and from what we heard if it wasn't for them there would have been no catering for children as they complained, we have children and i'm glad ours were not there as they would have been starving, the drink was poor, they kept saying they had run out of stuff as hey felt people were drinking too much (which they were not) when the water slide is switched on you have to aware that everything needs to be lifted off the floor as you are sub merged in water as the drains can't handle the extra water. toward the end of the holiday it became apparant that everyone was very unhappy and i understand it nearly came to blows when the Man u came on as they management pulled the wires out of the tv so you had to go downstairs and pay for drinks in their own disco. i can fully recommend Caroles bar just two minutes dow nthe road, we never ate there but my partner is scottish and they put the Rangers game on, very nice people and make you feel really welcome. A very big shame because the hotel is in such a beautiful spot and the views are amazing, they need to get their act together!!!!!!
Rich in vitamin C!

Marmaris in October
Hi, I have never been to Turkey before and have booked to go to Marmaris in October. Has anybody been in October before? It's just that I'm worried a lot of things will have closed down for the winter. For example, I have been on the website for the waterpark and that shuts mid-September. Will there still be things to do?
RE: Marmaris in October
Depending on the time of the month, October -in fact- may be the best time of the year to enjoy Aegean Turkey. If your dates are relatively closer to the start of the month you will find weather at around 80's (F) and most of the heavy traffic of people already gone.
RE: Marmaris in October
hey, me and my sister are heading back over in October 16th, we have jst got back frm Marmaris and loved it!
the waterparks are borin anyway and can b quite expensive lol
do u know the hotel u are staying at?

RE: Marmaris in October
Don't worry, Marmaris is still very busy in October - surprisingly so :)
RE: Marmaris in October
iv'e been going to marmaris every year twice a year for the last ten years, usually in june and always in october i,m going on the 6th this year, the 7th is our wedding anniversary (35 yrs this year) and being a romantic we always celebrate at the same restaurant overlooking the sea.
everything in marmaris is open in october, it is a great time to go, try an all inclusive boat trip.
the weather is usually in the 80's so still hot enough to get the suntan.
