Ferry to and from Rhodes Greece
by alectrevor
I travelled from Rhodes Greece to Marmaris Turkey on the 8am Catamaran ferry, the trip took just over one hour. The ferry is used by day trippers and one way travellers. Travellers who are going to stay in Turkey need to buy a Visa on arrival in Marmaris i paid £10 english. I believe Euro,Dollar, and YTL also accepted. The port is a long way out,i took a taxi.
Shallow part of the bay
by JLBG
East to the city, the bay is shallower and only local small boats can moor. In the background, the ship yards (see next tips) where local boats are built. To go from Marmaris to the private mooring of our chartering company, we had to walk along the coast and along the ship yards.

Located on a small peninsula. Narrow streets, small, tradational houses are really neat to see. Most of the houses are renovated and takes the visitors to a different world while wondering around. Also dont forget to see the Castle.
