hi we (me hubby and kids) are thinking of coming back on the 8th of october can anyboby help with the following questions please............................................
whats the weather like there in october?
would we need sun lotion? is everything still open?
is sea still nice and warm?
would we need jumpers etc...?

The weather is still nice in October. Gorgeous day times but can be chilly of a nite so u may need a light jacket. Yes u would still need sun tan lotion as the weather is still in the 80's. Everything will still be open its the last 2 weeks of October that the resort begins to close down.

My page must give you information how the tourists swim and beach in an october day. Marmaris is better then Alanya. Because Alanya is open Sea. Marmaris is a bay closed by islands. The weather is better especially for heart sicks. have a nice time.

Visiting a bazaar in Turkey is always an interesting experience, either if you want to buy something or not.
In Marmaris Bazaar you can find everything, from leather goods to gold, carpets and clothes are reasonable prices.
As everywhere in Turkey, it is essential to bargain for obtaining a really convenient price.
Marmaris has a semblance of an old town on a hill overlooking the harbour with a few cobbled lanes and stone houses.
A heavily restored fortress has been open for about 10 years now. Inside the walls are a lovely garden with ancient carvings and pots scattered about. There are no labels or display cabinets, so probably should not be classified as a museum. Instead there are wide-ranging views from the walls and some adorable antiquities poking through the palm fronds. Enjoy the respite from the hassle and touts!
It was free during our visit, maybe because it was the end of the tourist season, as I seem to recall there being an (empty) ticket booth at the gate. It shut an hour for lunch around 1.
Located where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean Sea, Marmaris is one of the most beautiful resorts on the Turkish Riviera.
Probably not as famous as Bodrum, renown mainly among the young persons, with its cosmopolitan atmosphere Marmaris is in my opinion the best place if you want to enjoy a wonderful holiday on the seaside but also visit some interesting places.
Even its name is describing perfectly the place. Marmaris is originally a Greek word meaning glittering and shining.
With hundreds of restaurants, shops, bars and other entertainment Marmaris is a place where you will never be bored.
