I've stayed at the Ekin Hotel 7 times in the last 3 years. Will be there again next week.
The staff are excellent, Hyro, Brian, Richard & Ozzie are so funny.
You'll be hard pushed to find a better team of staff to rival these.
All the staff go out of there way to make you feel special.
Not just the Waiters and Bar staff, everyone Cleaners, Kitchen Staff & The Night Watchman.
The Management team are first class Muammer & Boss Man !!
The food is the best in the resort. I'm not just saying it as I love this place, the food is quality !!!
I have read the negative comments regarding this Hotel and can honestly say I've never had a problem.

Stayed at the Ekin hotel from the 21.08.06 - 04.09.06 and had an amazing time!! the staff are absoloutly brilliant espesh Ozzy & Brian!! But Richard and Hiro are so sweet aswell. Hotel is in a great location as you can easily walk to the resort centre and to the beach from the hotel! Rooms are clean and tidy and the maids come in everyday to tidy the room. The breakfast is VERY Turkish so some may find it not enough but we all soon got used to it, we were all craving hard boiled eggs when we came home! However you can still buy a full english brekkie for less that £2!! We will DEF Stay at this hotel again - so watch out for us with our water guns!!!! hope this helps haha

Fantastic Hotel

My boyfriend and I have just come back from Marmaris. This was the first time we stayed at the Ekin, but I can honestly say we will definately be going back. All the staff were brilliant (Richard, Brian, Ozzy and Hiro). The rooms are basic but very clean. The food is brilliant and you get a 10% discount if you are a guest. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who want s to go to Marmaris. See you next year everyone.
first holiday abroad

it was our first holiday abroad, but my parents have been for the past 7 years, so we decided to go with them this year. when we got there at the evening all the staff met us off the coach and greeted us, they took all our luggage off us and taken it to our rooms. 6 of us stayed at the ekin, but 7 others had to stay else where because there was no room when they booked. but they had most of their meals at ekin with us and they prefered ekin to their hotel. meals were excellent and staff were even better it was like we had known them years. we will definatly return there again. there is not a lot for young children which we have, but the staff were excellent with them.

okay but found they treated people that had been ther many tyms much better than others. food was lovely and ozzy the barman was gorgeous. he was the onli 1 that made u feel very welcome as u had neva been ther b4. the others wer ok bt treated new faces different from old.

ive stayed at the ekin 6 years in a run i love it i met my husband to be there 6 years ago its a fab place very clean friendly i would say this is a perfect hotel if u want to kick back and have a stress free holiday its fab a big thanks to the ekin amanda newcastle
Hell in Ekin

My first time in Turkey, I went with my other female friend, from the minute we arrived I had a awful feeling about the hotel. The staff from the first night had said to other staying guests that we must be lesbians as we were two females staying together! Thought this was a bit much, they then took particular offence to us not eating in the restaurant day and night and then insulted my friend at breakfast telling her she had insulted them by not washing her face for breakfast (she had not brushed her hair..). They were then constantly rude, talked about us and made us feel really uncomfortable, were always respectable, never came in past 1am,continued to have lunch there and even left a generous tip when we left, although not sure why..the bar man was the only nice member of staff. I thoroughly do not recommend it, particularly if you are females not in a family group, really very unpleasant experience, although I loved Turkey just not his horrid hotel.

We stayed at the Ekin in August 2005 and had a fab holiday.
The first morning we arrived we were made welcome by all the staff.
The food at the Ekin is lovely, we ate there nearly every day. The rooms are basic but very clean and the cleaners were lovely, they did not speak much english but that didnt stop them being nice and helpful.
The main waiters are Richard, Brian and Iro there were all really friendly and would of done anything to make your holiday great.
If you like football the waiters play once a week against the guests but be warned they are very good, Brian was a pro!! and he even plays in his bare feet!!
We tried to book the Ekin for aug 2006 but it was full so we had to stay at a different accommodation which was no where near as nice as the Ekin, but we did go and visit and all the waiters remembered us by name!!
we have just booked to go back to the Ekin in aug 2007 and i cant wait!!!!
i'd recomend the Ekin to everyone!!!

What can you say action speek louder than words this is our sixth visit home from home nothing too much trouble for any one ,food fantastic ,very clean, this place is so good people just keep going back time after time so that says it all. D Montgomery.

Well, When we arrived at our hotel all the staff was waiting outside and welcomed us, they took all our luggage of us and taken it straight to our room, they really made us feel wanted. The food was exellent, had a long time waiting though but wasnt really an issue. The bar man OZZY was great, always smiling. It was actually our first time abroad and we didnt really no what to expect. The staff was really good with the kids. We really enjoyed this holiday and would recomend it to anybody. We will certainly be coming again.

... to all posters. So much informative stuff about Marmaris - it feels like the holiday has already begun! My family love the Turkish people - we had a fantastic time in Side 2 years ago, but Marmaris looks like the jewel in the crown. Roll on July 29th!!

Jused returned from my 7th visit to Marmaris, still as fantastic as ever but boy was that hot this year the temp was around 42 degrees which for june was way above average

I went to Side last year with my boyfriend and as lovely as it was, the views, beach, people, etc, it was just a bit too quiet for us. I went to Marmaris this year with a friend and I have to say its the best place I've ever visited! Not as cheap as Side but the choice of bars and restaurants is much better than Side. The nightlife is fantastic and the people are lovely. I hope you have a had as good a time as we did, were going back in October!
