More about Halici Holiday Village
I really dont understand why halici holiday village is getting all these bad reviews....
I went to this hotel in june and loved it...YES there are many stairs and YES the food wasnt all that but there was always something to eat.
The room was clean and had clean towels everyday, the room was very basic but you get what you paid for. i spoke to many people in this hotel and all of them was late bookings, so whats the point of complaining?
We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The bars around the complex are very good with very good entertainment.
I loved it so much we are going back in september for another weeks stay.
this hotel is not as bad as some people have said! i had a wicked time, staff are soo helpful and friendly especially emin who works at the pool bar he showed us were to go and made are holiday even better, thanks emin never 4gotton!! pool is the best one around. Food not the best but ok if you like turkish food! apart from the food i think everything else was excellent!!
great last minute deal, me and my husband booked here for our hoonymoon and we thought it was brilliant. it certainly dosnt deserve the bad reviews it has got. ok the steps are a killer the first few days but it does state them very clearly when you look to book, but the view you get when you reach your room is priceless. our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, the staff were all very nice and helpfull. the pool was very clean and always being cleaned. the food is very boring and plain but thats just turkish food for you, it is edable and if you do fancy a change there is a lovely bar at the bottom of the hill called the apple bar, food is AMAZING in there, and the staff treat you like gods. the other reviews i read about this hotel almost put me off going but glad i never there is just no pleasing sum people. we paid £500 for the 2 of us for a week all inc and transfers, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FOR THAT PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we meet a lovely couple there richard and sam, hello to you if you read this, we neva laughed so much, wish we had meet you earlier in the holiday. i would definatly go back without a doubt loved every minute of it. sarah and stu gallanders from wales.
This hotel is value for money!!
Myself and a freind booked this holiday as a last minute jobby last month - after reading reviews i was a bit worried but neednt had been
We paid £240 for all inclusive for a week and what you get is what you pay for - there is so many reviews on here saying its awful food, cleaniness etc - they obviously think they are going to get a luxourious holiday for nothing!! If you want that sort of holiday you have to pay £1000 or more!!
Ok, so the food was basic and bland some night - we ate out 3 times, had food on trips etc so that was fine
The rooms were basic but clean - and why do you want to spend time in your room anyway!?!
the views from the pool and restuarant are absolutely beautiful
Apples bar, is as everyone says, very friendly with good food and we spent most nights in there after we got no more booze from the hotel at 10:30!!
All in all we had a great holiday considering we only spent £240 - as i said before - you get what you pay for!!! happy to answer any questions!!!
Why the bad reviews????!! Was Fab :-)
I really dont understand how this hotel got bad reviews??? It was such an amazing valued booking and for what you pay its really good!! The hotel is really nice, pools and bars all good, food is so incredibly healthy that's why I didnt love it but it was rather nice, Im used to burgers, pizzas etc!! I lost weight from the walking up stairs and eating healthy so those who want to follow suit then book!!!Lol
I would go back, its good for anyone wanting friendly staff, good food, good quality stay, nice rooms and on a tight budget holiday. Not good for families with young children - walking up the stairs can stress parents, elderly persons would find this also difficult.
The only bad thing that we experienced was, is that, being that you book this on bargain prices, you end up sharing the hotel with riff raff, we ha crazy drunk students etc come back after 3am and jump in the pool, screaming and shouting. Being a 3* hotel, they dont have security around everywhere@night, in the end i started calling reception and within record time - 2 minutes - someone would come down and literally kick them out the pool and into their rooms. Be prepared for this, us Brits really do make life more difficult for others, was so embarrasing. The police had to come one night as a group of 6 people would not go to bed.
Having said this, i would go back, I know I can deal with this, for a cheapo holiday, its perfect.
food normally salads, pastas, spag bol, bread, meat is one dish every night, example, tonight grilled chicken, tomorrow lamb chops. Plenty of fruits and salads.
Hope this helps!
I Loved This Place
i dont know what all the complaints are about this hotel, i just returned from a two week stay here and i absolutly loved it, i actually loved it soo much i am booking againg to go next summer. because its all inclusive the food is basic, but eatable, but the is two really good resturants at the bottom of the street, the apple bar and also the magic garden and the food is really nice and also really cheap.
whatever you do dont listen to all the people on this page saying all bad things about this hotel because they are just telling lies and trying to scare everyone going here, if you are going here enjoy and i hope you all have as good an experience that i had while i spent my time here!!!! enjoy, peace out!!
after booking this holiday we found on the internet some more details etc on this so say hotel !!
4 star no way this is a 2 star and only just.
we arrived at 8.50 pm - we were informed that the restaurant closed at 9pm - it did -smack on .
all the food if you can call it so was very quickly removed.
we also paid £20 each to have a 2 bedroom penthouse - joke.(this was just enough to see us through after hearing and seeing the complex) no shower curtain - no plug for sink -we did receive a plug -guess what - wrong size !!
air conditioning flooded room twice.
along with cold soup same food over and over - cracked/chipped cutlery - i left my mate to enjoy his garbish (all inclusive)and ate out to keep me going.
the lift is always breaking down and with all these steps in the heat it was really hard work not a holiday.
the bar was a total dirt hole staff who never smiled and certainly do not know how to clean. reds ants on staff arms !! 10.30pm closes on the dot. stay well clear of here.
I wouldn't go back here
We were ok to begin with - steps were a nightmare and we were right at the back at the top, we knew about the stairs from these reviews and thought we'd be ok but no way!! There are too many and they don't start 'til you get to the top of the hill.
The food was absolutely terrible - different, yes of course but awful food, we were out on excursions a lot fortunately and ate out quite a bit. Drinks on all inclusive only included vodka, gin and lager and house wines, so if you don't like those you're stuffed.
We only had hot water in our room for 2 / 6 days so it was cold showers most of the way (yes it was very hot weather but the water was nearly freezing) and when I complained about it the guy at reception wasn't very helpful - kept telling me to go back up and try it when no-one had been to look at it, and I gave up conversing with him about it in the end. Also when the water was off, so were the lights which could have been lethal on those steps in the dark.
Can't fault the room other than the water - it was nice, basic and clean, beds made every day and clean towels, the cleaning staff seem to work really hard sweeping up etc. - there was no view due to the trees, and also there are lots of noisy crickets outside - we mostly got used to them.
The only other slightly disturbing event was the police turning up to remove some drunk kids from the premises, not sure what nationality they were, 13 - 14 year olds drunk causing a disturbance.
I booked this hotel after reading reviews on here because most reviews for all the hotels we looked at were bad and to be fair if we had a great time we might not write about it here. All I can say is that I'm sorry we didn't listen to the other reviews.
Apart from the hotel, the holiday was fabulous - beautiful places to visit and mostly friendly people.
Worst Hotel ever....Don't Go!!!!
Just came back from 2 weeks in Marmaris. We arrived at approx 8am and after walking up a huge hill and many stairs to the reception without any help with our baggae we were pointed in the direction of our room. When we reached our room it was worse than a prison cell, dark dingy and nothing like the photos. We clambered up the stairs to the reception and asked to be moved to the actual hotel we had bookeed with the sea view not the little out house we were currently in. The rude, sexist, lame excuse for a General Manager told us they were full and we have to make do until the next day. As we were so tired from our flight we settled with this but were not very happy at all.
The next day we moved to our new room, with little to no assistance from the staff who could not speak English AT ALL and were extremely lazy. After climbing the 181 steps and numerous steep hills to our room, we were extremely satisfied with the view and the view from the pool which is gorgous, the only thing that would put this hotel any where near the 3* rating, the fact that it has been classed as a 4* is a joke in itself! Although our room was not cleaned when we were moved into it, a cleaner turned up within 10mins of us arriving. My friend had put 3 bikins out on the balcony to dry just before we headed out to the beach. When we returned later that day the bikins had disserpeared. We presumed the maid had assumed it was the previous guests so we went and spoke to the incompetant General Manager again. He said she had gone home. Next day we aksed again he said he would speak to her later, but making it very clear that they must have blown away. (HIGHLY UNLIKELY if not IMPPOSIBLE). We went back the next day in which he finnaly got the maid down to speak with me. She didn't speak a word of english and I found it very un-proffessional the way he dealt with this. In the end he said the maid would buy 1 bikini which she would go and choose but nothing else would happen. After nearly 25mins of arguing with this man whilst he stared and my boobs the whole time nothing was resolved. So much for the customer is always right!!!! The food was ok for the 1st couple of days if you like sald and don't need to know what it is your eating, but they only cater for European guests so don't expect to find much you like. I spoke to many english guests and all of them said how much money they had spent on eating out, should have gone self catering. The bar staff don't speak english either and whilst a que of 10 people at the bar is emerging and ther is 3 bar staff on, only one will serve whilst the other 2 will spoke and chat openly in Turkish about the guests infront of them. We saw a sign on the first day illustaring the enertainment for that night. This sign remained the same for the entire 2 weeks and no entertainment was shown on any night / day / ever for the whole 2 weeks.
From the 1st day we were counting the days utill we could leave this hell hole. I would highly reccomend anyone thinking of going her to think again as you will HATE it as did everyone else I spoke to whilst I was there. I have always been one of those people who dosn't like to moan, you get what you paid for and would never have dreamed of writting a bad review but this was the worst accomodation ever and the service was even worse. Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties or any one without, only for extremely athlectic people really who don;t mind rubbish food and a lumby bed, cold shower with no curtain.
Don't go that's all I can say!!!!
Halici holiday village
hiya im going to halici holiday village on september 20th for 2 weeks, has anybody been there - i have read a few reviews and it doesnt look to good! its all-inclusive! please reply someone - im panicking! lol xxx
Hi, I've just recently come back from Marmaris and l stayed at The Halici Holiday Village. There is a little taxi station and a bar near there called "No Name" and on the same road in between these two places their is a hairdresser shop. If anyone could give me the number of the shop l would be very grateful.
Hi may i ask you your opinions about halici hote? i am thinking to go there.. is it near to sea and also bars?
RE: RE: Hairdresser
The hotel is ok, they were just getting the swing of things when we got there cause the season was starting. There are quite a lot of stairs at the hotel. Its near the beach, and there are quite alot of club along the their that you can go to at night, but you have to walk further down the beach to get to them. There are loads of places to eat as well. Also its one bus from the hotel to Marmaris market and to bar street (which is a good place to go for a good time).
I am just back from halici aswell we had a brilliant time. We went into the hairdressers and they where all really nice. It is doing my head in now remembering the name but is was (something) "hands". There was a restaurant right at the bottom of the hill was it called "Dream Garden"?
RE: RE: Hairdresser
I think the restraunt at the bottom was called that.
Its really annoying me cause there's no way l can get the number of the hairdressers. Its really gonna bug me as well.
The stairs at the hotel and walking up that hill was a killer, but l kept fit so can't complain that much.
