On arrival at the hotel from Dalaman Airport was greeted by the guys who work there on forst name basis (even though it was only my second consecutive annual visit to the hotel) as previously experienced, the rooms were basic but clean. twin beds, second floor (lift available) with one of those awkward energy saving key in slot things but that was not really a problem, Air con included in the price. The Bellboy (Omar) took the cases to our room and showed us where things were. the maid service was brilliant. coming to at least make the beds and change the bins every single day (the sewerage system in turkey is a bit out dated so toilet roll should not be flushed after use, there are small bins provided in every single toilet you go to all over turkey!!) they were friendly but did not speak any english (as with most maids) the hotel pool is clean and there is a smaller pool which is normally warm and suitable for children if supervised.
Our only real problem with the hotel this year is that there is no in house chef. there is still a basic turkish beakfast everyday (again, omar)also scrambled eggs with sliced turkish sausage is available. the lack of chef was not a huge problem as the hotel is located so close to the front it is easy to find somewhere within a few metres of the hotel. to name a few... Sheerwood, Charlies Bar, beach front : Beaches, Bacchus show bar, Red dragon, Santana, The Garden Restaurant (bit further to walk.) Cream Irish Bar. This Hotel has everything from a clean pool, to great service and staff, and a very personal feel. sea view rooms are wonderful with a view of the whole bay.
