Not a 3 star and will not be going back
ok - im not one to write reviews at all - however i need to let people know about this hotel.
We stayed from the 29th May 2011 for one week half board.
Firstly we arrived early morning so we were showed to our room by friendly staff. the lift can only fit 2 people in so our bags went up first. I did not feel safe at all in the lift so i took the stairs the rest of the holiday.
The room was extremely basic. NO fridge, NO hair-dryer, NO spare sheets, NO spare pillow, NO private beach (as it says on one hotel website), NO toilet roll, NO buffet option on food half board, NO TV and one small rough towel. The bedding felt wet and smelt damp. The bathroom was tiny, and not in good condition. The shower stopped working after a certain time of day (when the tank an out of water) and when we arrived the waiter said "at least we have warm water now!". The drains smelt awful at times too.
The shower curtains were useless and the bathroom ended up flooded every time we showered no matter how careful we was.
never given enough towels for us both so i ended up asking every evening for some more towels for the floor.
We went down for our first evening meal to find out that there was NO buffet option and that the chef chose what meal we would be having that night. This was not good as my partner is very picky about food and we only ended up eating twice at the hotel and even then we had to go out for food after as the portions wee tiny! basically if we didn't want the evening meal then we had to go elsewhere - i thought this was really unfair to say we had paid half board!!!
The balcony was ok with a sea view.
the front doors may as well not be thee as you could hear every bit of noise through the big holes and gaps which meant you was disturbed whenever there was people coming in after a night out. We could also hear the motor of the lift EVERYTIME it was used and this was quite loud at night when trying to sleep.
The staff were vey polite but with broken english. I would not be returning to this hotel as i cant think of one positive of staying there.

RE: Melodi Hotel
There are several reviews for this hotel on www.tripadvisor.com Just go to the site and a bit down on the left hand side there is a search box. Just enter the name of the hotel in there and it will come up with the reviews.
RE: RE: Melodi Hotel
Hi, i have just returned home after 6 months out there, and i believe the Melodi hotel is closed, it is now just a restaurant, with free use of the swimming pool. I only know this as my husband works for the same tourism group that own the melodi, and i walked past it several times a day.
Sorry if i'm wrong on this, but i only came back 2 weeks ago, and up to then it was still closed.
Kim xx
RE: Melodi Hotel
Hi, thanks to everyone who replied to my post. Have was also told by someone else that the hotel is closed. It is still advertised in the Sunset brochure however. I have decided to book somewhere else just in case.
RE: RE: Melodi Hotel
Just shows what a great site this is! Hope you have a nice holiday.
RE: Melodi Hotel
i have just return from 2 weeks in Marmaris staying in hotel melodi ! Melodi was shut for a months or so for painting and has now re opended ! i wouldn't recommended staying at this hotel as it is very basic and is no way a 3 star like it was advertised as ! while in marmaris my family got shown round a three star hotel along the beach front , called Yuvam Hotel and compared to melodi it was like a palace and none of us could believe that both hotels were three star because Yuvam was sooooooooo much better! but it was just to comfirm that it is now open again and not really worth the money we paid !
