Superb budget hotel next to the beach
We went to Marmaris not knowing which hotel we would stay at. At the airport we were told by our tour operator that we would stay at Hotel Orkide, and we couldn't have been more fortunate. The hotel is located 50 meters from the beach with all the restaurants and bars. The Hotel Orkide is a small family run hotel with approx. 40 rooms. It has a standard comfort that is quite with approx. 15 square meter rooms all with their own bathroom and balcony. The rooms were ok, but who cares about that in a place like Marmaris. All rooms had satelite TV and Air Condition. There is a swimmingpool at the hotel which also has a nice inexpensive bar/restaurant with delicous food. A small supermarket is located only 35 meters from the hotel. The big Migros supermarket is only a 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Unique Quality: The location is probably the best thing about the hotel along with the very friendly staff who always looked after you. Very cosy bar/restaurant by the pool during the day and night.
