I don't know about mobility scooters. I've never seen any about, but the walk along the promenade is very flat. You will find people very helpfull and most retaurants will collect you and take you back to your hotel if needed.

I am afraid that this reply is a little late to help you this time. But if you want to hire a mobility scooter in the future email they have a mobility scooter for hire.

Travel Tips for Marmaris

I love marketplaces

I love marketplaces, in Mugla i found a very special one!
Look how nice the fruit is displayed.
And this wasn't the only market stall that looked like the one at the picture, there where much more.
Don't miss this market when you are in the area.
The market is every thursday from very early in the morning till 19.00 in the evening

aloha is heaven

the food is amazing, the staff are so friendly you will want to keep going back to it. my favourite dish has got to be the cheese omlette because they already know how you like your food before you arrive.

The Castle

by MrOscar

The Castle museum 412 1459 (Open-Tues–Sun 8am–noon & 13–17.30pm; approx €1) has a worthwhile archeology and ethnography collection.

"Thought to have been constructed by the Ionians, this small castle on the hill was repaired during the time of Alexander the Great. It was widened and repaired again by Suleyman the Magnificent 1522, during which time his 200,000 troops attacked and seized the island of Rhodes.

The castle opened as a museum in 1991, after restorations that took ten years. It has seven galleries, and has a collection of archaeological, historical, ethnographic and nautical exhibits. The views of the city are wonderful, with a wonderful panorama day and night."
