I stayed in the Viras Hotel in Ortakent Bodrum in December 2007 for a week. The rooms are spacious with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. Right on the beach with an alacarte restaurant this hotel is in a fabulous location. Ortakent beach is the best blue flag beach on the bodrum peninsula and makes for a great base to explore this part of Turkey.
Of course as i stayed here in the off peak season everywhere i visited was extremely quiet but I can guess how it would be like within the season. I will definitely be staying in Hotel Viras in summer 2008.

I stayed at Viras Hotel in December 2007 for 1 week. The Hotel has everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Right on the seafront with its own beach with sunbeds and unbrellas you have all you need to completely relax and unwind. They have a fantastic ala carte restaurant which caters for all your tastes. The weather was great about 16-18 degrees and although out of season the owner and staff made us feel very welcome.
The beach is by far the best in the Bodrum peninsula and Ortakent makes for a great base to explore the rest of this part of Turkey. Of course everywhere I visited was extremely quiet but I can guess how vibrant it will be in Summer I will definitely being staying in Viras this summer.

We stayed in the Medisun hotel for just one week. Most of the facilities that the other web sites metion that are on offer at the Medisun Hotel do not exist. For instance, the satalite TV, Minibar and music in the room where non-existant. I would not recommend this Hotel to any English persons because they do not cater for the English atall and the all inclusive is a joke. Any person who like lager would not like this because we think its about 1%. It is supposed to be locally produced but i have never seen it in any other bar/restaurant in Turkey. Not enough loungers for everyone, you will have to get up at 7:00 to put your towel on the lounger. There is a snack bar which only sells chips, turkish burgersand pizza's. If you would like some ice cream you will have to pay for it.20 -30 minutes on a Dolmus bus to bodrum not 10 minutes. If you like night life do not go here as there is none atall. You will have to go into Gumbet or Bodrum.

We stayed at Medisun Hotel in Yashi-Yalisi, but we were not too glad with this hotel.
When we arrived we had some not so good experiences with this hotel, for example :
we had a room to the back side of the hotel, and every evening there was a really noisy thing ...
our room was clean when we arrived, but as this hotel does only have one girl to clean up all the rooms it got something dirty in the days after,...sometimes when we got back from the beach at 16:00 a clock our room hadn't been cleaned up yet...
the air-condition of this hotel was broken
Well, I do not want to complain everything, but the hotel has some good parts and also some negative points, which I will list you later.
I only think that maybe if you are looking for a luxury accomodation you should not stay here! But for travellers with lower budget it is okay!

Positive:
- You are just 200- 300 mtrs from Yashi beach, have a nice pool area at the hotel and can go out to eat or walk at night in the bars and resturants along the beach
- Buses (in Turkey called "Dolmush") to Bodrum centre passes every few minutes in front of the hotel, just look at the sign of the bus or ask the driver
- There are always different tour operators in the hotel which you can ask for a trip to other cities in Turkey or to rent a car, etc..
Negative:
- staff does not speak very well english nor any other language, so sometimes it is difficult to understand each other
