Vists the Sumela monastry and the mounatins You can easilly bee invited to stay and eat whith local people, great food, very nice vegetation an animal life, great for hiking ( not for climbing except Vercenik wall)
The hamam called 'termal' in Ayder after one week on the mountains feels great.

by traveloturc
I dont know exactly if Geaogians influenced our black sea people or our people influenced the Georgians but definitely the food is the same we call it "Pide" this is typical food which is enjoyed specially in sunday mornings with the participation of all the family. In a way it enforce the liason between family member .You can find many varieties like with "cheese"..with "mincet meat"..."cheese with eggs" etc etc
There is a big competition between all black sea cities in order to do the "best " pide.My opinion is that "gorele pide " is the best .Anyway you can try in every city of the black sea coast
Surmene and Camburnu(Cape Pine)
by voyageur2
Surmene is an eastern district of Trabzon. And a visit over there will make you satisfied. Knife and boat production are among famous activities in the district.
Camburnu(Cape Pine) is well known by locals. Pines, rocks and sea becomes a wonderful mixture in that coast. Water is very clear and invites you to swim in hot summer days.
Transportation can be provided by dolmuses(minibuses).
Pide or Kebab
by maykal
Just off Ataturk Alani, on Uzak Sokagi, is the Cardak Pide Salonu, which serves the best pideler you can imagine (Pide is the Turkish version of pizza, either with cheese or meat). On Ataturk Alani, there are several kebab places to eat, all of them very similar, and the roads off this square are also full of restaurants, including the fantastically named 'Kebabistan'!
