Yas Island

My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Yas Island Hotel on a weekend break from Dubai. The hotel is brand new (opened in November, 2009), therefore room decor and standards of cleanliness are of a high standard. We booked a standard room which was nicely decorated with all modern amenities including a large flat screen TV and IPOD docking station.
The pool area is clean and modern with several shaded areas, although there was a lack of sun loungers when we were there. After complaining to the Pool Manager, we did get some loungers fairly quickly, but this problem should have been addressed months ago. There is a pool side bar which serves drinks and snacks and 3 restaurants inside the hotel - Barouk, which serves Lebanese cuisine, Stills Bar and Brasserie and Jing Asia. There is also a well equipped state of the art gym and a mens and ladies hairdresser too.
Rate for standard room: AED337 plus tax through hotel. Check-in from 14.00, check-out at noon.

Unique Quality: Nice rooms and pool area. Great rates. Staff are friendly.

- what are the price for a night ? is there a cheap Hotel (do they talk in arabic)?

Hi there
Well, if you traveling to Abu Dhabi from another country, you would need a passport. You would have to check on the web/with the nearest UAE embassy, consulate if you need a visa - many nationalities can get a visa on arrival at the airport, but your profile doesn't show which nationality you are, so I can't advise you.
Hotels on Yas Island are expensive for the time of the Grand Prix. I checked them months ago and noticed that they are inflated for the event. You could try Crowne Plaza Yas Island/Park Inn Yas Island as these tend to be cheaper than the rest. The hotels do have Arabic speaking staff. You could try hotels in the centre of Abu Dhabi (try websites such as Expedia/Booking.com) they may be cheaper and then you could take the shuttle bus to Yas Island - I believe it is going from Marina Mall. We will be driving daily from Dubai for the GP as hotel prices are too high.
Good luck!

You can also check local travel agents in your area, they may have packages which also include visa, hotel stay, transport, etc....
Good luck.
