Most elegant hotel in the world?

Finding the entrance to the beautiful grounds of the Emirates Palace was a challenge in itself. Once in, the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The ice cold washcloth was ideal during check-in. A quarter mile to half mile escort to the room took me underneath the gorgeous dome, past the most talented pianist/musicians, through the beautiful Barakat Gallery pieces on display (all for sale, how much, I have no idea, too afraid to ask).

Inside the coral room, WOW! Italian marble bathroom floor, 50+ inch screen tv, full fruit basket, lovely balcony overlooking the West pool, gold fixtures, pillow menu, personal butler service, nightly turn down service with peach rose petals sprinkled throughout the room, fantastic international breakfasts, top notch fitness room, two gorgeous pools- one having a water slide and lazy river, cool washcloths and juicy watermelon pieces brought to you while you laze near the pool, complimentary bikes, kayaks, etc.

You have to stay here at least once in your lifetime.

Unique Quality: Incredible grounds, architecture, service! Everything First Class!

Luxury all the way!

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time! On check in ladies are presented with a bouquet of roses and guests are offered dates and coffee. You are shown to your room by one of the guest relations people who explain features of the room, such as how the control panel works for the 61 inch LCD TV! A butler then comes along to serve you a welcome drink before your luggage is delivered.
Of course, then you have a look around your room which is quite luxurious and spacious. The bathroom comes stocked with lots of products, there is a small hall with your wardrobes and stuff and the balcony is nice to sit out on. There is also a free non alcoholic mini bar which is a nice touch and free internet access.
You can do a tour of the hotel for free if you are a guest there. Tours are at several times of the day and last around 45 mins where you see the auditorium, an impressive suite costing 8,000 dollars per day! and the other areas of the hotel. Tours can also be done by outside visitors for a fee of around £12 pp.
Everywhere you look around this massive hotel you see luxury with most things painted in gold leaf! The atrium is very impressive and is probably the focal point of the hotel. The hotel has several outdoor pool areas which are great with lots of room and you can take a golf cart to these and other areas of the hotel. Drinks, as you can imagine are expensive around the pool. Breakfast is included and has a wide range of foods in a buffet style setting. There are several other restaurants to eat in, some of which are not too expensive. The gym is very well stocked with machines too.

Unique Quality: The hotel is generally very impressive in all areas! Service is excellent. Prices are expensive both for room rates and generally for food and drink. Great for a one off luxury stay! (or more if you can afford it!!)

Abu Dhabi's Answer to Dubai's Burj al-Arab

Completed in 2004/2005, the Emirates Palace Hotel was built by the government of Abu Dhabi in an effort to raise the profile of the city, similar to Dubai's move when they built Burj al Arab many years ago. However, Abu Dhabi did not choose to build a symbolic skyscraper, but rather a vast and quite impressive hotel complex, modelled after Mughal-period palaces in India, with no expense spared. The hotel is part of the luxurious Kempinski chain and is probably one of the chain's grandest. The hotel itself is an isolated complex with its own private beaches, spa, and restaurants, located close to Marina Mall. For those not staying here, one could visit the complex easily and dine at one of its many high end restaurants.

I finally stayed here for the first time, for just one day (on business), in November 2011. It is very expensive and I've heard many of the rooms are just too large (high-class problem), but my room was not excessively so. Although the stay was most pleasant and service top notch, this type of hotel is just not for me, opulent beyond tasteful. I may have to stay here again on business, but who is to complain?

More about Emirates Palace

Emirates Palace- beats the Burj!

by TripAdvisor Member SIH

My husband and I have recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Emirates Palace, half board in a coral room. We flew with Etihad which was clean with excellant entertainment system and good level of service. Some past reviews of EP led to many worriies however from the moment we arrived we realised that reviews are very individual and you can't please everyone. We have stayed at Jumeirah Beach and Burj al Arab as well as hotels across the globe. This hotel exceeded all expectations. Yes, it was quiet, however that was positively welcomed after a hectic time at work. The level of service throughout the hotel was exceptional and professional. The facilities were top class and the food was out of this world. If you get the opportunity to go - don't miss out on a luxurious experience. We certainly shall return.
