 | Abu Dhabi Emirates Palace Reviews | 1 - 8 of 8 | |
Completed in 2004/2005, the Emirates Palace Hotel was built by the government of Abu Dhabi in an effort to raise the profile of the city, similar to Dubai's move when they built Burj al Arab many years ago. However, Abu Dhabi did not choose to build an architectural symbol, but rather a vast and quite impressive hotel complex. It is part of the luxurious Kempinski hotel chain and probably one of the chain's grandest. I did not stay here but visited the hotel to take a look. It is quite expensive and I've heard that the rooms are almost too large (high-class problem). However, for a luxurious weekend getaway, I imagine it would be quite pleasant to spend a weekend at Emirates Palace. The hotel itself is an isolated complex with its own private beach, located close to Marina Mall, and has numerous restaurants. I imagine during the low season, discounted rooms might be available.

Describe Your Stay?????? yeah .... I'm not that rich !!!
Maybe you can not afford a stay there, nevertheless you should take a visit. I was suprised to see that tourists can go in and out as they please. Some guard at the gate, but he is flexible. Never seen such a green lawn ... cheapest room rate ... bout 400 euro. Most expensive ... 12000 euro. Euh ... this is for one person / one night. ;-)

view from my room of west pool by johnfrompalatineil, 4 more photos Finding the entrance to the beautiful grounds of the Emirates Palace was a challenge in itself. Once in, the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The ice cold washcloth was ideal during check-in. A quarter mile to half mile escort to the room took me underneath the gorgeous dome, past the most talented pianist/musicians, through the beautiful Barakat Gallery pieces on display (all for sale, how much, I have no idea, too afraid to ask). Inside the coral room, WOW! Italian marble bathroom floor, 50+ inch screen tv, full fruit basket, lovely balcony overlooking the West pool, gold fixtures, pillow menu, personal butler service, nightly turn down service with peach rose petals sprinkled throughout the room, fantastic international breakfasts, top notch fitness room, two gorgeous pools- one having a water slide and lazy river, cool washcloths and juicy watermelon pieces brought to you while you laze near the pool, complimentary bikes, kayaks, etc. You have to stay here at least once in your lifetime.
