Easy to Find

1.) Had a very nice stay.
2.) Hotel is good as new.
3.) Accessible and near to many famous landmarks.
4.) Quite pricey as I remember (my colleague settled for the bill)
5.) We had one of the suites (has a living and a dining area and one big bedroom, enough to accommodate 4 people)
6.) Only one king size bed is available so, we requested for another two single beds for a minimal additional cost.
7.) Small and busy but intricately designed lobby.
8.) Pub available at the ground floor with a direct entrance/exit from the street.

Good value in Abu Dhabi

I spent 3 nights in the Howard Johnson Hotel and found them very pleasant - except I couldn't get them to send me a cuppa from room service! The rooms are large and spacious. They also include a kitchentte, but no pots / pans / kettle / cuttlery / crockery. It is situated at the end of the Cornish, but within walking distance of the centre and easy access to the rest of Abu Dhabi. There is unreserved open parking available if you have a car. The drawbacks to the hotel are - the lack of tea / coffee facilities in the room; there are 2 night clubs in the hotel and they can be noisy. Last but not least - the TAXIS. When staying there, request a room on the town side of the hotel. The taxis were hooting until 2am on both nights that I spent in a Cornish facing room (you don't have much view anyway).
By Abu Dhabi standards, a good hotel for a good price. I found that the best price for this hotel was from www.hotels.com and www.expedia.com.

affordable accommodations in Abu Dhabi

by saadcs

Hi there,

I am planning a trip to Abu Dhabi this coming December. Can anyone recommend affordable hotels/hostels there? Most of the hotels i found on the net are expensive. My budgets is AD250 max per night.

Thanks!

Zakher Hotel has been demolished. There is a plain field now where the hotel used to be. Unfortunately most of these hotles will also cost you more than 400 AED per night
