We only had a short stay here in 2003 as we were based in Dubai. The hotel though was wonderful. We had one of the bungalows, situated alongside the beach, with its own garden. A huge lounge area was accompanied by a bedroom with neat touches such as the wardrobe lights coming on as you opened the door and among the toiletries were 'fizzing balls of bubbles' which you put in the bath and watched shrink away to nothingness (ok, I lead a dull life sometimes!). The breakfasts were hunger busting and seeing people having dinner there the food looked just as good then too, though we opted for a KFC eaten on the promenade watching the world go by. Prices, as in the Meridian, have been kept low to entice tourists. Visit now before the other four 5 star hotels being built push prices up.
Clean, friendly, good food, quality accomodation, close to the promenade and town centre. Turn left and at the Coffee Pot roundabout go straight. The Hilton is 20 yards on your right.
