VIVA LA VISTA!
by Siddha3th
Dubai offers the naked eye some unforgettable views. By the time the cool weather's well and truly settled in, the sky begins to take on some amazing colours toward sunset. The whole mood will change from blue to purple to crimson to a Pollock painting, all within half an hour. All you need to do is drop what you're doing, and head for the roof at the nearest tall building. You'll see the city in full swing, as it shifts gears to accomodate the evening.
Some of the most memorable sights are to be had from the Royal Mirage complex, where the Arabian Sea stretches before you all mysterious and sparkling. Barasti at Mina Seyahi has this outdoor porch with a few tables, where you can sit back and watch the sun go down as well. Find your own spot, create your own memory. It's all good.

The Pyramids
by Sophie1980 about Wafi Mall
Go here if only because of the appearance. Wafi is a Vegas style reconstruction of the Pyramids, with huge Pharoahs outside the entrance. Inside, shopping is on the expensive side; Givenchy, Chanel, Betty Barclay, Jaeger. There is a spa 'Cleopatra's Spa' offering treatments for women and men, but check the website for timings. We ate at the 'Biella Caffe' where I had a tasty pizza. There's a free shuttle to the closest cinema which is huge, offering all the latest movies. Expensive clothing items. There is an M&S here with a small food section, offering crisps, pasta sauces, cereals, teas, etc. Expensive.

A chic little place in Dubai
by BorneoGrrl about Cafe Chic
Cafe Chic is located in the Le Meridien Hotel. It serves light French cuisine in a wonderful French setting and you can either dine indoors or outdoors. The staff are quite friendly and the service is okay.
I had a small lunch because I was in a rush but the food serve was good.
