by saadcs

Hi All,

I'll be traveling to Dubai in Dec. Is there any cheap hotels - less than 200 AED/night in Dubai?

thanks in advance!

The following is on my deals page:
Many tourists like to visit Dubai and for some hotel prices are a bit expensive.
There is a good deal by U.A.E. Youth Hostel Association. If they have a vacancy then three days of stay is guaranteed for you, after that you have to check with them if still they can extend your stay. They have hostels in Dubai, Sharjah, Fujeirah and Kourfakkan. The price for one night per person is about $20 or even less in some hostels. You have to contact them by phone and fax and make sure that you have a confirmed place before coming to Dubai. I leave the contact detail of Dubai hostel, for other emirates contact them and ask the contact details. Taxi direction to Dubai Youth Hostel Association is:
Al-Nahda Road, after Al-Ahli Club same side of Al-Mulla Plaza

Travel Tips for Dubai

VIVA LA VISTA!

by Siddha3th

Dubai offers the naked eye some unforgettable views. By the time the cool weather's well and truly settled in, the sky begins to take on some amazing colours toward sunset. The whole mood will change from blue to purple to crimson to a Pollock painting, all within half an hour. All you need to do is drop what you're doing, and head for the roof at the nearest tall building. You'll see the city in full swing, as it shifts gears to accomodate the evening.

Some of the most memorable sights are to be had from the Royal Mirage complex, where the Arabian Sea stretches before you all mysterious and sparkling. Barasti at Mina Seyahi has this outdoor porch with a few tables, where you can sit back and watch the sun go down as well. Find your own spot, create your own memory. It's all good.

by ShoebKadri

Located just 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the Resort features 115 rooms and suites appointed in traditional Gulf decor, complemented by the region's first authentic open-air Arabic desert restaurant, and a superb range of recreational facilities.

For those seeking a unique desert experience within easy reach of Dubai, Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa presents the ideal destination.

Offers comfort and entertainment, at Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa you can experience the history of Dubai.

And do not miss the dinner at Al HAdeerah Resturant - it will be a wonderful experince of Arabian night !

The Pyramids

by Sophie1980 about Wafi Mall

Go here if only because of the appearance. Wafi is a Vegas style reconstruction of the Pyramids, with huge Pharoahs outside the entrance. Inside, shopping is on the expensive side; Givenchy, Chanel, Betty Barclay, Jaeger. There is a spa 'Cleopatra's Spa' offering treatments for women and men, but check the website for timings. We ate at the 'Biella Caffe' where I had a tasty pizza. There's a free shuttle to the closest cinema which is huge, offering all the latest movies. Expensive clothing items. There is an M&S here with a small food section, offering crisps, pasta sauces, cereals, teas, etc. Expensive.

Cozy Dressy Night Out

by Rinjani about Trilogy

Trilogy is one of the hottest night club at town. Situated in Mina As Salam, Jumeirah Beach Road, the club is a fancied by party go-er. Trilgy has a huge dance floor with a house music and a classy style decoration.
Especially in Thursday night, people need to queing to enter the club (don’t forget to bring your id)
There is no dress code (but wear your shoes please), but usually the visitors are dress-up people and honestly, people look so fancy. No sneakers please. Dress casual, but it's time to show off :)

A chic little place in Dubai

by BorneoGrrl about Cafe Chic

Cafe Chic is located in the Le Meridien Hotel. It serves light French cuisine in a wonderful French setting and you can either dine indoors or outdoors. The staff are quite friendly and the service is okay.

I had a small lunch because I was in a rush but the food serve was good.
