Dubai skyline
by Kuznetsov_Sergey
Dubai skylines impress everybody who ever visit this one of the fast growing city in the world.
The city has seen an increase in private real estate investment in recreating Dubai's skyline with such projects as The Palm Islands, The World Islands, Burj Dubai and The Dynamic Tower.
The large scale real estate development projects have led to the construction of some of the tallest skyscrapers and largest projects in the world such as the most expensive hotel, the Burj Al Arab from the top of which these photos have been taken.
Dubai is expected to be the site of more buildings with 100 floors or more than any other city in the world by 2015.

Creekside Park
by Gard
If you just want to relax and watch the world go by, then I can recommend Creekside Park. There is actually a 5 Dhs entrance fee to get into the park itself. The park is well kept, lots of benches and green grass and there are also places where you can barbecue. If you want some exercise it is possible to rent bikes inside the park and you can get bikes that are made for two or 4 people.
Arabian Carpets
by najamrulz
Arabian carpets are famous around the world for their beautiful designs, colors and good quality. Their prices are very attractive and many tourists buy carpets in Dubai and take them back to their countries.
Also there are beautiful Irani, Chinese, Pakistani and Afghani silk carpets on sale at various locations in dubai. Many carpet shops are located in big shopping malls. Open air stalls also sell these beautiful carpets. If you are purchasing these carpets from open air stalls then bargain as much as you can. But if you are in shopping mall then the prices would be fixed.

Dubai International Airport (http://www.dubaiairport.com/diainternet/) (DXB) is the largest hub in the Middle East and the home base of the UAE's flag carrier Emirates (http://www.emirates.com/). The airport is famous for its duty-free shopping (http://www.dubaidutyfree.com).
When flying from Dubai, travellers should be aware that security is very tight, with up to three baggage screenings before boarding. The baggage-handling system has also been known to break down on occasion, causing considerable delays.
Emirates passengers are also required to be at the gate lounge 30-35 minutes before departure, in order to ensure that the flight departs on time. Late arrivals at this point can and will be offloaded from the flight.
The Dubai International Airport was built in 1959 by order of the late ruler, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and was the first airport to be built in the UAE. At that time, the airport only contained one runway, which length was 1.8 km (1.12 miles). The airport is 4 km (2.5 miles) south-east of the city center and is positioned at latitude 25° 25 N, longitude 55° 36 E. The Dubai Airport is the fastest growing airport in the Middle East and has been nominated the best airport in 2002 and 2003 by a survey carried out by IATA (International Air Transport Association).
Airport Facilities
The Dubai Intl. Airport is continuously developing and currently has 2 terminals and accommodates 100 airlines, which connect to over 140 destinations. The airport has a meet-and-greet assistance service known as Marhaba Services [(4) 224 5780].
Terminal 1 (Sheikh Rashid Terminal or Concourse 1)
This terminal is the main heart of the Dubai Airport and was reopened in April 2000 as the second stage of the airport expansion program, which began in 1997.
Terminal 2
The terminal was built to reduce the congestion of Terminal 1 and was opened in May 1998.
