We paid ourselves a 3 nights stay in this resort to celibrate our anniversery of 40 years of marriage. This resort is situated about 45km from Dubai city, in the middle of the desert. When we arrived at the resort, we had some kind of negative impression, but after they showed us our room, and made a round-trip of the property, we felt in heaven. The service was top. Exept for alcoholic drinks, everything was included in the roomprice, also all amenities. It's worth the experience for 2 our 3 nights, but don't go in the high peak-season, then it's overpriced.
The rooms were build as a Bedouin tent, whith a great comfort. Outside there was a terrace with a small private pool, overlooking the desert. During the day you could chose out of amenities like falcon demonstrations (fly to the lure) - camelriding - desert safari - and even birdwatching. The food was OUTSTANDING. The evenings were beautifull, sitting on the terrace while the gazelles and white oryx came on a footstep to your room. Leave a Comment

Pearl Residence deluxe hotel appartments are best choice to stay in Dubai with family. Located in Bur Duba, these appartments arei just 15 minutes drive from airport. All appartments are well furnished and very nicely decorated. There are 28 Studio and 56 One-bedroom Apartments. I along with my parents spent one week there and we did not had even a single complaint. We were charged US $ 72 per night. We opted for one bed room apartment. It was big appartment which gave us feeling of living at home. The master bedroom had digi safe, individual control AC, master toilet, IDD telephone and dressing table. The common room is really huge. It has a decent guest sitting area with sofas and carpets. Sides are decorated with beautiful table lamps. Iron table and iron is provided in the same room. Dinning area is also in the same room and a family can easily use it. Room service is provided 24 hours. Room service menu has some good choices for meals at reasonable prices. Spinney's supermarket is just five minutes walk. Television with cabnet is also well placed. You can enjoy more then 30 satellite channels around the clock. A beautiful guest toilet is also attached with the common room. Next is the kitchen with all the facilities you can think of. A full size refrigerator, microwave oven, electric oven, electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans and other related items are provided. Well stocked mini-bar also comes along refrigerator. In the same kitchen, there is dish washing facility as well as washing machine to wash your clothes.
In basement they have laundry where you can free of cost wash and dry your clothes. Housekeeping is excellent and they clean your appartment on daily basis. For food they have 24-hour coffee shop on ground floor serving international cuisine. Food is good and prices are reasonable. Currency exchange, fax and photocopying facilities are available on request. There is a trendy indoor club named "Blue Moon" where you can play snooker and other indoor games with some good music in the background. Health club with sauna, steam and swimming facility on roof top is also available for guest use. The reception staff is very helpful and cooperative. I stayed at the 3* Sadaf Hotel for 6 nights in December 2006. Budget accommodation is scarce in Dubai and, after plenty of searching online, this hotel was the best value option that I could find. At the time of my booking, this hotel was available on www.bookings.org at 250 AED (approx 35 GBP) per night for a single room with private facilities and breakfast. According to the prices displayed on the hotel's reception desk, a single room usually costs 500 AED per night. If you are not familiar with Dubai, be warned that this hotel is located in the Rigga district of the city. While this is a central location, with lots of shops and restaurants close by and the creek just a 5-10 minute walk away, it does mean that the beach is a lengthy taxi ride away. Having visited Dubai several times before, I have always made the decision to stay in downtown and to "commute" to the beach. However, if the primary purpose of your visit is to lie on a beach, then you probably won't appreciate the 30+ minute journey through the traffic each day. The hotel is located on a seemingly un-named street just off Al Maktoum Road. It is just a few minutes walk from the Al Ghurair shopping centre and the restaurants of Al Rigga Road. It is just a short taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, although heavy traffic and the closure of many roads in the area (due to construction work) turned a 5 minute journey into a 20+ minute journey. The taxi ride cost me 29 AED (which included a pick-up charge of 20 AED from the airport). Hotel facilities The ground floor contains a 24 hour reception desk, a TV area and three cafes and restaurants; The Vanak Restaurant (offering an international menu and open between noon - 16:00 and 19:00 - 23:00), Marwareed Cafe (open 06:00 - midnight) and Feruza Restaurant (Iranian/international buffet, open 07:00 - 10:00 for breakfast, noon - 15:00 for lunch and 19:00 - 22:00 for dinner). I never ate in the hotel, so I cannot comment on the food.
. The hotel offers free transport (by minibus) to the beach and to a shopping mall. Departure for the beach is 09:00 daily, with pick-up at noon. Departure for the mall is 17:00 daily, with pick-up at 21:00. Printing, copying and fax services are available in reception, and there is a solitary computer terminal offering Internet access. There is an extensive menu in the bedroom should you wish to have food delivered to your room. The prices are very reasonable and the choices include: breakfasts (continental, English, American, Oriental), croissants, toast, various styles of eggs, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, chicken dishes, kebabs, pasta, desserts. Bedroom My single room was fairly small, but was generally clean and well furnished. It contained a medium sized bed, satellite TV (ca. 30 English/Arabic channels), a mini fridge, a large wardrobe, a telephone, a bedside cabinet, a dressing table, an armchair, air conditioning and a safe deposit box. I asked for a non-smoking room, but there was a slight smell of stale smoke in my room....as well as an ashtray! Maid service was carried out daily. Bathroom The average sized bathroom had a few faults: - dirty marks in the bathtub; - low water pressure in the shower; - broken plug in the basin; - a leaking tap; These minor faults didn't bother me a great deal, but might be enough to deter some people. Clean towels were provided each day, as well as complimentary toiletries. Overall, this is a decent value budget option in a city that currently lacks cheap accommodation. In my opinion, the hotel was a little below the standard of the nearby Orchid Hotel that I have previously stayed in, but it was also significantly cheaper at the time I booked. Good value, no-frills hotel in the Rigga area of Dubai. | | | | Sofitel Dubai City Centre (Beniyas Road Dubai United Arab Emirats): Quiet relaxation
Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
In March 2007 I enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at this 5* Dubai hotel. Located within easy reach of Dubai International Airport, the hotel offers a free shuttle service between the airport and hotel which takes approximately 15 - 30 minutes depending on prevalent traffic conditions (remember, Dubai has one of the longest rush hours in the world). Rooms are well proportioned and have good facilities including satellite TV, mini bar, in room safe, etc. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is taken in the La Cite Restaurant. Everything a person could want is on offer from fresh fruit, cereals, hot buffet items (both Arabic and American style), pastries, etc.
The hotel is directly attached to the Deira City Centre shopping mall for those looking to spend, spend, spend! The rate I have quoted on this tip is the standard rack rate. I was lucky to get this room for GBP75 a night on the www.hotels.com website and I would certainly recommend shopping around for the bargain.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It's a 3-star hotel and it can do everything you expect from a 3-star hotel, although it has no pool. It's in Deira side, approximately city centre and reasonable prices. Of course we managed to get discounted prices when we went there through Iranian travel agencies tours, and the price included breakfast and lunch! Most of workers/waiters are from Thailand and Indonesia, and in reception there were a Lebanese guy and a Bulgarian lady. A real multi-national company! just like other hotels in Dubai.
