Capitol Hotel, Dubai

I spent four nights here en route from Freetown, Sierra Leone to Kabul Afghanistan and thought the place was great. Its a four star hotel, with internet cafe, bookshop, gym,several restaurants and very large clean rooms.

Capital had wonderful staff - mostly from the Philipines- and very good food. The facilities are also very good- I got my hair done and enjoyed the lounge area.

I have never stayed in a 5 star hotel like the Fairmont. as a matter of fact, most expats love the Fairmont. the Willow Stresam SPA is one of the best in the middle east. The pool is something else. The golden suites are indescribable. It is just that you can't have enough. The lounge has a greeeeeeeat view. Getting a Golden room/suite entitles you a free access to the lounge, free drinks, free breakfast (great), free day snack, and a free night snack. The facilities are great. Service is even better. I remember asking for a sport channel and got it within a few hours with a message on my suite TV. The suite office is very elegant. A printer/ fax machine, stationary and all you want.

excellent service, luxurious rooms, all the facilities in the rooms are good i must say. i have stayed around 3-4 times at this hotel now and i am satisfied. restaurants, bars and healthclub facilities are perfect.

My stay at the Metropolitan Hotel was a most rewarding experience. I enjoyed all of the amenities. The cuisine at the restaurants in the hotel was outstanding. Room service was very prompt. The Hotel staff was very pleasant and proficient. I have just returned from 2 days of rest and relaxation in Dubai and I stayed at the Metropolitan Palace Hotel., again. It was very nice to be remembered.
The Hotel is only a fifteen minute taxi ride from the International Airport. The staff was very prompt to open the taxi door. A buffet breakfast and complimentary cocktail was included in my package.

The unique qualities that I enjoyed was the sauna and rooftop pool. I felt like a King. This is my second visit to the Metropolitan Palace Hotel and I commend everyone at the hotel for their hospitality and gracious behavior. For my second visit, I was again impressed with the lobby area, glass elevators, chandeliers, food quality and elegant appeal.

Genuine 5-star amenities and treatment. Swimming pool a bit awkardly located in an adjacent building. Good restaurants, fun bar in the basement ("the longest in the Middle East").

Decent business traveller's floor and services, but of course if you like an extensive breakfast get it from the buffet in the restaurant on the 2nd floor.
