I heard of Grand Moov because of the Filipino bands that play there at night. They said they were quite good. Music is okay. The hotel is walking distance to a centre which offers Chinese massage and it is not far from Reef Mall which I visit because of the Filipino eatery. When it is not too hot, I walk all the way to Al Ghurair where I do some shopping too.
Unique Quality: Grand Moov has a fine Thai restaurant and a coffee shop. The rooms are clean and well-equipped with safe, modern TV and nice bathroom. Buffet breakfast is okay. You can have your omelette the way you want to have it. Just tell the Cook.
They have shuttle to go to the airport and to the beach.
It has a sauna which I have used once. I would not speak highly of their pool though. They do not have a gym yet (as of April 2009). If you are a late-riser, I recommend you do your check-out earlier because the hotel has many guests, you might get stuck at the lobby.
Directions: Grand Moov Hotel Dubai, located on Deira, is a few minutes away from Maktoum Bridge the main link between Old and New Dubai & Jumeira area. In summer, don't even think of walking to the City Centre although it is not far from there.

I don't know the hotel but it's in a fairly central location Deira side of the Creek. It's a very busy area for traffic but not far from the downtown area with the gold & spice souks, the Creek and shopping streets. It's also not far from Deira City Centre, the huge shopping mall.
