Dubai hotel - can you sleep in a Disco?
Dear Sir,
I had been to Dubai last week with my family for holiday. I had a very high expectation about citizen,s comfort and rights in Dubai. But unfortunately I got shocked, a hotel cant provide a quiet atmosphere for its family guest!
Hotel (Highland City Hotel) is below standard,
Most of the staffs of the Hotel are nice, but some serious problem with TOP Management (Mr GEET of SRILANKA) ! They play and patronise very LOUD music in TWO Loungebar/Disco everyday 9pm-3am. They dont listen to anyone , and also told me noone objected for that till that date. They also insulted and ridiculed me at 1 am on 26th Feb (Mr Geet of Srilanka). But if you check on trip advisor (hotel site) etc. , there are similar numeorous complains. So, if you can adjust with that MUSIC, its ok ; else you have to form a MORCHA for protest there! They wont listen to you even after that perhaps. I am reffering this issue to Dubai Govt. also as this hotel spoiled my entire holiday last week. Very surprising, how Emirates Air have tie up with this kind of hotel. It was heavy rush in the Dubai for DSF, and I failed to get any other reasonable accomodation there after 1st night. I was even ready to take a loss of 3 nights payment made to the hotel in package.
An appology won't help Sir, as I spent more than Rs 1lac on an unpleasant holiday, and my son (11 years old) is very disappointed; in fact he insisted me to send this complaint.

Hello there everyone,
I have a friend who is going to stay at Highland Hotel on Port Rashid and would like any opinions on the hotel? She is not getting booking anywhere else. Is the place decent enough to spend a few nights?

not to sure about that one but just in case have her look at www.octopustravel.com they have a huge selection of hotels and i can't see all the space in dubai being taken up

Highland Hotel Dubai is a hotel located in Bur Dubai and has got all facilities required for a good hotel. Its also decent and your friend would be comfortable staying there. For more information and pictures of the hotel I leave you an URL which is:
