In the middle of a huge building site
I would imagine that the service and attitude of the staff would make the Hilton a wonderful choice if it was not for the extensive building going on. It is continuous 24 hours a day. Even on the beach you cannot get away from the noise, smell and dust of the building. At present it cannot be relaxing. I was deprived of sleep by the noise but the Hilton line was 'What noise, what building work?'
Unique Quality: Good heated pool in the shade for just about the whole day. Always a cool wind around the pool area in February. The BICE restaurant was excellent. The transportation from airport to hotel and back and forth to town was first class. This hotel is a LONG way from downtown Dubai.

Dubai biggest building site
The hotel is basically in the middle of a 24hr building site consiting of 30 or more tower blocks. The construction is 24 hours a day and can be heard from the the hotel roon, pool and beach. There is also a thick layer of dust in the air. If you book go to the hilton web site and you will only see one picture of the outside of the hotel..ask yourself why? Ask reservation the extent of the construction and you will not get the full story. The front desk had little sympathy as I am sure they have had numerous complaints.

Wonderful Hotel on the beach!
Wondeful stay and can't get any better hotel.
Individual rates are quite expensive try to get corporate rate and you will save much more.
A bit far from down town Dubai 30 - 35 KM

Hilton dubai creek
Looking at staying at this hotel after eliminating it from several others (such as the intercontinental and the grand hyatt) due to its central location and ease of reaching other places either by taxi or walking. What is your opinions about this hotel and what public transport is available in Dubai generally for tourists to get around. Are taxi's expensive (for example what would I pay to go from the hilton to Wild Wadi water park). Thanks.

You have made a good choice, the hotel is located near a shopping district and Bin Yas square. You can walk arround of the hotel and see so many touristic locations, also there is a Tourist Information Centre in Bin Yas square and you can obtain a lot of useful information from there.
There are a lot of Public Bus stations arround the hotel. By using buses which are very cheap you can get to almost anywhere in Dubai.
Well lets say if you want to go to Wild Wadi from hilton with a taxi you may have to pay 50 AED's about 15 US $.
