nice hotel

It is a good hotel; I saw only russian tourists and the tourists from former Soviet Union there. There is also, a gym on the last floor and a pool on the roof. I was told that there was also, a masseur/masseuse, though I had no time for for a massage.

The receptionist was very kind and provided us with all the information we needed. There is a russian/english speaking lady at the receptionist all the time, who can arrange the sightseeing tours.

We had a problem with the heater and as soon as I told the receptionist, he sent three indians and they replaced it with a new one within one hour.

The breakfast was great; I also, liked the room service.

But make sure that they do not locate you in the room, which is close to the ventilators/fans. They make too much noise, especially, when you open the window.

It is an excellent hotel for those, who travel with a family.

Keep Looking

This hotel is overpriced compared to other facilities in the area. It prices itself as a mid-range hotel, but really does not offer the amenities. Also they or at least some of the staff enforce an arbitrary morals policy. A female colleague of mine came to the hotel to meet me for dinner since we were in town at the same time (a rare occurence) and when she arrived early they refused to let her up or even ring my room to let me know she was there. Later that evening the bell man treated me to a lecture about loose women, and even threatened to call the police if I brought another one around, before letting me into the hotel. My colleague is a quality control specialist (dressed conservatively), not a hooker. Since then I have heard other stories about this place, including them occasionally asking for proof of marriage for a male-female couple sharing a double room. I understand this is the Middle East and you should be mindful of their cultural differences, but other hotels in this price range tend to make allowances for foreigners. I am rarely negative in my reviews, but stay well away of this hotel.

A reasonable hotel in a good location

We stayed at this hotel because of the difficulty in finding a medium range hotel in a reasonable position in Al Ras/Deira. It was reasonable value for money and we had no problems.

Landmark 3*

Nice hotel in the centre of the city, on Nasser Square. so it has very comfortable location and you can easily get shopping or enjoy walking in the city center or in the embankment. Although the meal is not good in my opinion. Double room is USD 115 per night.

You can easily find within your budget, I used www.dubai.travelreporter.com twice, once for the
Al Kameelia at about E 40 which is very cheap but the Landmark Plaza at about E 75 is very good value.

Hi there,
I leave you an URL which by going to the page can do on-line booking. The URL is as follows:

http://www.southtravels.com/middleeast/uae/

Take care.

It's also worth looking at www.hotels-of-dubai.com, plenty of hotels on there.
Either Deira or Bur Dubai would be convenient for night-life because getting around is easy - taxis are plentiful and crossing from one side of the creek to the other is easy and cheap.

I think the most live place in Dubai - Nasser Square, central place in the city. I think you'll find easily hotel in the area with your budget. It seems Hilton Hotel is not far from Nasser Square.
