Good hotel at small a price

Very recommended for the friendly staff, the large rooms (baths could benefit from some refurbisment though) and not recommended if your breakfast if the most important meal of your day!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are big enough although bathrooms were small and not very modern. Clean though. Always very appreciated...

I don't recommend the breakfast on the other hand. Very poorly cooked and not assorted at all. The kitchen staff also rather unfriendly. Frankly at some point I wondered if they were paid at all for doing their work because their manners were very poor.

In our case we went during Ramadan and it was very dificult to find somewhere to eat proper breakfast because of the fasting but if you go in any other month of the year, just pass on the buffet and get yourself to a nice cafeteria for breakfast.

The restaurant on the other hand features the nicest indian food ever. You have to comje here if you are a fan of Indian food.
The chef is Indian and on top of being a really nice man is extremelly careful with the preparation and presentation of the dishes.

The location is very central, in Downtown Deira(opposite Al Ghurair Shopping Complex) and just 4 kms from Dubai International Airport. Very close to City Centre too.

Unique Quality: The facilities are Ok.
The swimming pool is quite small but clean and nice enought for a dip.
There is also an outdoors jacuzzi.

Indian Cuisine at its best

This is a beautiful restaurant.

It is located in the Lotus hotel and you will love its ambiance, the nice decoration and the very good service and manners of the staff.

The food is just fantastic. As we went to Dubai during Ramadan we could not eat during the day but at dusk you have the Break-fast buffet, the Ifthar.

the one at the Dakshin is just fantastic. The chef is Indian and he is exquisitely careful when it comes to select the dishes and to prepare them.

The cuisine is not only very good and tasty but also very assorted. You have all kind of meat and vegetarian dishes so anyone can enjoy this restaurent provided they enjoy spicy food.

Very recommended. Ifthar buffet. Fantastic.

All dishes are good. Don't be afraid to ask anything from the menu. I don't think you can go wrong here.

Golden Sands Hotel Aprt is better. I have booked some of our staff there and am satisfied with cleanliness

There are numerous furnished apartments in the Bur Dubai (Gold Sands) area..... but I find the Golden Sands are already a bit "run-down" and old.

Try the PEARL RESIDENCE
or the IMPERIAL SUITES, both located in the same area.

Try to avoid the area of Deira (the area that the Lotus hotel is in). Traffic is bad all over Dubai, but it's especially horrific in Deira.

In the furnished apartment you have the freedom of preparing food yourself, in the hotel you have to rely on restaurants!!
